Re: FBT subs and tops - any insights appreciated
Another thing to consider would be the programming of the guitar sounds. If the guitarist developed his sounds on a system that lacked proper bass it is possible that they have been programmed with too much bass to compensate. Certainly worth exploring, but sensitively and with discretion. Andy ...

Re: SOS @ 40 - give us your Comments!
Takes me back to London in 1985. All those now long lost shops around Denmark Street and Charing Cross Road. The Boxing Day sales at Soho Soundhouse. The walk up Tottenham Court Road to check out Turnkey when it was located on Percy Street. The days of the Great British Spring reverb, and perspex ...

Re: Weight loss - Routing out a Strat for a GK5 Kit board
Nothing to worry about Drew. There's still plenty of wood and strength there. You can buy Strat bodies with what is known as a swimming pool route where the entire area of the pickups is removed. https://rvb-img.reverb.com/image/upload/s--7XQ6Cy8A--/a_0,c_crop,h_0.472,w_1.000,x_0.000,y_0.268/f_auto ...

Re: GK5 Kit fitting - ferrite bead problem

Re: Idiot tries to build guitar!
One thing to consider when routing is to use a drill to remove the bulk of the material. Then use the router to tidy things up nice and neatly to the template. Saves a lot of wear and tear on the router and router bits. I wouldn't bother going beyond 24 frets at most. But it's your project so think ...
