Re: The Behringer Keyboards 'n' Stuff Thread #3
I'd imagine what would have been quite an expensive Behringer product, would have become a very expensive Behringer product indeed in the US with the made in China tariffs. If sense prevails, then you might see it reappear, but if it had no hope of selling in any quantity in (what I assume would be ...

I think so. One image per drive.
But you can partition the drive into two virtual discs , so if you've already got a C: drive, then say into E: and F:

Re: 60's jazz sound how to re-create it?
There are humbucker and P90 versions of mainstream Les Pauls. The P90 versions came first, and the PAF humbucker was an attempt to recreate the P90 sound but without the hum. Fairly close with the early low-powered humbuckers (though the manual construction methods meant some were pretty powerful ...

Re: 60's jazz sound how to re-create it?
For albums, Les Paul would normally either be playing a hollow bodied guitar with P90s or a Les Paul with his low impedance pickups fitted. For the latter, you'd need an old Les Paul Recording, Personal, Professional or Signature. Live, he'd play anything he was given and his TV show with wife Mary ...

Re: Budget PA for Arts Centre
It should definitely be viewed as a stopgap to get them up and running. Once they are putting on concerts, it should hopefully allow some further, rather more ambitious, investment. Which probably needs to go hand in hand with some basic acoustic treatment.

Re: Budget PA for Arts Centre
It helps if you read the preceding posts and the original post title. Really low budget of around £1k The budget has doubled. It really helps if... ;) Oops! Still, £2k is still a long way from what would probably be nearer a £12k install with subs and mics and mixer of a suitable level.

I would fly up (4m roughly) there something like 2x12 point source like TW Audio T24n It helps if you read the preceding posts and the original post title. Re: 60's jazz sound how to re-create it?
It doesn't sound like jazz at all to me from that clip, more a Caribbean style tune. So definitely more info required on the tune and the players/band.

Re: Help identifying old keyboard/synth controller?
Yes, it probably won't be compatible with much else apart from a Wasp (or maybe one of the other EDP products like the single oscillator Gnat).
EDP did make their own 3-octave controller keyboard called a Caterpillar which could control up to four Wasps or Gnats for up to 4-note polyphony.

Re: Help identifying old keyboard/synth controller?
Real who appear to have made this are still going so it might be worth getting it touch with them to see if it was a production model or a one-off. I don't think so. They've simply resold it and put a sticker on it. The Sheffield dialling code was 0742 before it changed to 0114 in 1995. The South ...

Re: Help identifying old keyboard/synth controller?
Well, it's got a 7-pin DIN connector that the Wasps used for their 5‑volt CMOS logic signals, intended for linking Wasps together or connecting an external keyboard. The Wasp came out in 1978, so was several years pre-MIDI. https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/edp-wasp So given the other markings on ...

Re: Idiot tries to build guitar!
Was it described as pickguard or scratch plate plastic?
I've bought cheap pickguard material from Amazon and it's been fine. It doesn't like getting hot at all (and curls up in hot sunlight), so you've just got to work slowly with it so it doesn't get too hot through friction.

Re: Connecting Volt 2 to Send and Return of guitar amp
You could always try going straight into the Volt (an instrument mode input) and use the FX as the preamp and then into the FX return of the Tramp.
I’m not saying it’s better, just different, and something to try to see if you like it.

Re: Connecting Volt 2 to Send and Return of guitar amp
Note that some of the Trace Elliot Tramp amps had an FX loop blend control. If yours has one, then it needs to be set to fully wet, otherwise you'll be mixing some direct and some processed sounds with the added latency, and you'll get nasty comb-filtering. This is OK if you are using fully wet ...

Re: Bass trapping aound the lower edge of walls.
The worst that can happen is that you also get a bit too much high frequency absorption, when you can then just add some more reflective surfaces in the room to balance things out, or remove some of the smaller traps (but not from the important mirror points). Whatever is easiest and works best in ...

In a commercial building situation you'd probably also box it in for extra noise reduction. Still a future option if it can be heard with the ceiling up.
