Re: iLok - worth putting up with?

I remember iLok having major issues many years ago (15 years or more?) and Steven Slate customers going wild on the Slate forums, there were death threats etc! I think it was over Christmas holidays which probably didn’t help. I have iLok dongle, but was nervous about it after that. But since then I ...

Re: Idiot tries to build guitar!

I was just wondering where you plan to put the top horn strap button. You've made the horn very pointed so you can't put it on the end. Your two example guitars in your first posts have rounded horn ends so the buttons (just about) fit on the end. On the back like an SG? Some SGs have the button on ...

It's ok here.

I logged in and under subscription I could see both the Digital and Print + Digital.
I'm on a Mac running Safari.

Re: Logic just for a change

My feeling about DAWs is - use the one you know best. Each DAW has its own language, and the best place to be is where you understand that language intuitively and the DAW becomes invisible. They are all pretty good these days. I'd suggest using the one you know best, Tony. +1. Pick a team, stick ...

Re: SOS launches MERCHANDISE Store

"Re-launches" surely? Cryptic. To what do you refer? I think he means there was SOS merchandise available before this. I have an old SOS mug that I bought many, many years ago, and I THINK I had a binder too? Good luck with the launch/relaunch, I hope it brings extra income to keep the magazine and ...

Re: No sound when i play

I'm no expert, maybe it is your sound card. Does the sound card work OK if you're watching YouTube videos or listening to music? When you said a new Logic project fixed it, even temporarily, that made me wonder about midi/audio routing etc. Hopefully someone with more (better!) ideas will be along ...

Re: No sound when i play

Unless you were going to buy the Babyface anyway, maybe hold off spending cash on hardware as this looks like a midi routing issue rather than a hardware one?

Re: SOS @ 40 - give us your Comments!

I was a winner! In 2000 I won a Yamaha 02R desk complete with a TC Electronic Unit.Y card with both licenses. To the best of my knowledge, this was the most expensive prize in a SOS competition up to that time. The desk was £7000, and the expansion card was £1600 with both licenses. For my home s ...

Re: Reloading plugins after fresh install

There’s 2 things to check, I think. Does Toontrack accept your computer is authorised for each product? If not I don’t think any TT product will run. If that box is ticked, the programs (e.g EZ drummer, EZ Bass) will need to know where the samples are. I think it might be best to download the Too ...
