It's easy when the MUSIC is good to listen through the shortcomings of any recording/playback format and relate to the emotion.

Re: Back to Berlin School -- again!
Hi Ben Nice! Out of interest, how come you use www.audio.com for audio hosting instead of something like SoundCloud, where others might, just might come across your compositions? Ian G. Thx, Ian! Good question -- I use Band Camp as my main landing page for my music these days https ...

I use www.4kdownload.com - it's cross-platform and has a free version, but I use the paid version (being a business).

Even Marques Brownlee reckons the Mac mini base model at 599 pounds or dollars, is the best value computer in the world at the moment.

Re: Video hosting companies
Brightcove.com is a great video hosting service that SOS almost went with, but it may be too pricey. Eddie, surely Vimeo is your best solution? You've used them before... They give you the option of Private links or Public. I knew about Unlisted Videos on YouTube but in honesty had not realised they ...

Re: MacBook / Mac mini / Air silicon - DIY user upgradeable storage solution
Wow  that was unexpected. It's not a standard format though so cheap upgrades are not going to be easy to find. But things will change. These M4 Mac minis will fly off the shelf, especially in the base model and if you can enlarge the SSD from 256 GB to something like one or 2 TB using ...

Re: What Is Your Favourite Looper?
Let me once again mention that the RC-505 *is* like having 4 extra looper pedals to hand (or foot), but all in sync - and without having to hit the controls on the beat. This Roland page has a nifty video on it that reveals just what Elf is saying. https://www.roland.com/uk/blog/boss-rc-505-loop ...

Re: ✅ SOS READERS ADS - has now reverted to system
Just a synthesiser category is OK, don’t think we need a dedicated Eurorack Modular one, as there aren’t that many into it here. ???? :-) You are dead wrong there, Arpangel. Google Analytics tells us how many Views/reads the Modular articles get on the website, and if only 1% of them used a Readers ...

Re: Bad Gateway
I fed the URL for Mornington into my MacGPT app (intending to create a knowledge 'brain') but it failed - then realised it's in Musicians' Lounge behind the access firewall.

MacBook / Mac mini / Air silicon - DIY user upgradeable storage solution
Came across this YouTube video - worth a watch:

His suggestion at the end to Apple is a sensible one IMHO.
Disclaimer: Your Apple Warranty is certainly to become void if you get inside your machine, of course.

Re: What Is Your Favourite Looper?
I love watching those YT vids of the American guitarist/singer in Las Vegas on the Strip, creating backings on his looper for a song the audience suggests, then some random(?) lady/bloke with utterly superb voices steps out of the crowd to perform the vocal -- and typically 'knocks it out the park ...

Re: What Is Your Favourite Looper?
While I'm here, which looper did that talented lady use to create songs on the fly? This was years ago and being almost as old as 'political dignity' my memory's a bit dodgy nowadays. As part of that - newly being able to increase and decrease the volume of little bits of audio (in prep for routing to a compressor, e.g.) is awesome. Re: What Is Your Favourite Looper?
Thanks Sam. Hadn't considered using 2 Loopers at the same time... very interesting concept for mayhem. :D Yes, appreciate Trio+ is more of a Band-In-A-Box pedal - but that's what appeals to me at the moment. What Is Your Favourite Looper?
I'm increasingly drawn to buying myself a Looper, having watched the YouTube videos about the seemingly fabulous Digitech TRIO+ . Re: How Do They Make This Sound So Good?
They haven't made it sound good - it was good to start with. Precisely! All about the song and arrangement structure - love the Question (vocoder) and Answer (synth motif) style halfway through. The R/Ads is clever and only displays categories in the sidebar that have entries. When you CREATE FREE AD you see all categories listed on the dropdown selector.
