Re: Recording Pipe Organ
The MK2/CCM2 is equalised for close on-axis sound sources (free field), and would therefore sound a little dull when used at a distant from the instrument. For the more distant placement typical of organ recording the MK2H/CCM2H version is more appropriate as it is equalised for the medium diffuse ...

Re: Presonus Eris 3.5 nearfield desktop studio monitors active
I might give the Eris 8’s another go, I cant think of anything else that I like around this price, and I just cant bring myself to spend big money on "proper" monitors. Also, it'll be another step in de-Behringerising my studio, for what its worth. When I first tried the 8’s, they sounded ...

Re: Recording Pipe Organ
It's recording the Bass from the Pipe Organ in a large church that's the killer for me. Once I have a portable 4xlr recorder probably Tascam dr70d and 4 mics I shall explore. There's approx 2K churches in london. From those with massive Pipe Organs : https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Pi...

Re: Sennheiser HD 650 - heat on ears problem
The HD600’s are good, I found the 650’s a bit too toppy, not as natural for acoustic stuff like the 600’s are.

Re: TC 2290 Pedal
Looks cool, but it seems pretty limited. I have this one and am well pleased: https://line6.com/effects-pedals/dl4-mkii/ Yes, I've looked at this, what I like about the 2290 is the 10 secs delay time, and the random waveform on the modulation section, I’m not sure about both of these things on the ...

Re: Promoter for Hire
As soon as we stop thinking about ourselves, in a very egotistical way, and stop thinking and acting like no one else matters, apart from our own wants and needs, we may get somewhere.
But that’s a hard task.

Re: Shallow Water
From what I have read, its a BBD chorus with an adjustable low-pass filter to get rid of all those nasty sterile digital high frequencies. The delay time is varied semi-randomly with a S/H generator, rather than cyclically with a sine or triangle wave. Controls adjust the rate of change between S/H...

Re: Trio KA1500 Amp Reapair
Anyway, back to diagnosing the fault. Cm22 is a very likely candidate for the cause of the fault as it decouples the supply quoted as 11.4V that is applied to the first transistors Qm1 and Qm2 in both channels of the phono preamp. Other likely capacitors are Cm23 that decouples the 28V supply to bo...

Re: Recording Pipe Organ
When I was doing this more often in the past, I used to ask the guy who always seemed to hang around for anything organ-related - there’s one at every church, or used to be before they were replaced by worship-band groupies - where he thought the best organ sound was. Then I tried to better it. But...

Anyone noticed predictive text worse on iPad?
I'm on iOS 17.1.2, since updating spelling mistakes don’t auto-correct as much as they used to, if at all.
Its so bad, its taking me ages to type anything.
Anyone else noticed this?
And no, its not me!
