Re: Surface Pro 11 Snapdragon

I just can't see the benefit of moving to ARM at this stage. I wasn't planning on moving to it but Microsoft did it for me. :headbang: So, from my point of view I'm not choosing it, but I'm interested in getting it to work if it's now the flagship Surface product, and if that's going to be ...

Re: Surface Pro 11 Snapdragon

I am buoyed and delighted by the positivity 😁 I will see if I can dig any info out of people I know in the business. I also get the sense that AI is desperately important to these companies. I should probably try to find out why. I thought it was a bit of a curiosity or at best a better version of Co ...

Surface Pro 11 Snapdragon

Hello lovely people, it's been a while! I may have pivoted away from building computers but I still dabble in the Microsoft Surface Pro platform. It seems that Microsoft snuck out the Intel-based Pro 10 a few weeks back and then immediately followed it up with the Pro 11 last week. The thing is that ...

Awww that's a nice photo. Glad you had a good time! Sorry for my puzzlement, i have terrible recall for things/people. For anyone interested, Finlay was using a pair of Elektron boxes, Digitakts I think which he was adding to live and manipulating. It was some kind of synth-pop-post-punk - he's like ...

Just to note that anyone in need of tickets to the daytime please drop me a line via any means and i'll stick you on my growing returns list. I can't promise I can get you in but I'll do my best to match people up with unused or returned tickets. There's still room for the evening which should be a ...

I have the same experience :D One of the best things for me about Wind 10/11 is touchscreen : that's the only type desktop laptop I buy. Mouse what's that. Fingers only. Re: NI KA6 Mkll Review Sept 2019.

No mention of the quality of the microphone pre amps. The ones on my Mk1 are very quiet but 6dB more gain would be handy. Have NI done this and if so are they still as quiet? Dave. Fair point Dave. I sat and stared at the mic inputs for a long time contemplating how I can review them to any useful ...

Wow, isn't that like a thousand years old? I remember selling those at Turnkey before the turn of the last millennia. Ran well on Windows 2000 if i remember. Soooo.... probably very little chance of Windows 10 drivers. I found this in a google search: http://michaelchagnon.com/aardvark/download.html ...

Re: Compare Windows 7 and Windows 10

10 all the way. Performance is great, explorer, file handling and navigation superior to 7 (in my opinion) and you're looking into the future which, for me, is important. Whenever I have to repair a 7 based system it's always so long winded and clunky in comparison - it's funny what you put up with :)

It is potentially interesting. We've talked about having a slimmed down version of Windows for years - or some sort of Turbo button that ran only the things you wanted to do. After a bit more testing it seems I can get down to about 5ms (not round-trip) on some projects others are still around 15-20 though. The only difference I can really see is some have plug-ins which seem to push up the activity on core 0 so the load isn't even. I guess my main concern is whether a ...
