Re: External router for XR18?

Thanks to all of you for the advice.

I've invested seven British pounds on an old Talk Talk dual band router, so fingers crossed. Expect another post in a few days asking for help setting it up...

External router for XR18?

Hello! I'm looking for a dual-band router to use at live gigs with a Behringer XR18, and wondered whether something like the TP-Link AC750 (TL-WR902AC) travel router would be up to the job. Small gigs only but from what I've read the internal XR18 router is not to be trusted. I'm interested because ...

Apologies if this has been discussed before, but I thought it might be useful to anyone planning to expand their software collection. Re: Cubase - best way to prepare entire sets of songs?

Is this the full Performer version you're using, Mr Wolf?

Re: Cubase - best way to prepare entire sets of songs?

Thanks for all your help - a lot to think about!

Just to toss something else into the discussion, any thoughts on Gig Performer 3 for a situation like this?

Re: Cubase - best way to prepare entire sets of songs?

I'm still trying to get my head round the software from the various Youtube walkthroughs and help files. It's difficult to get away from thinking of it in DAW terms. If I've understood this right, it would seem easiest to prepare the various audio and midi tracks in my usual DAW and export each inst...

Re: Cubase - best way to prepare entire sets of songs?

Thanks for that - that software looks very interesting, but I wonder if it's a bit OTT for what I need. To explain a little more, I'm planning to add bits and pieces to augment the live instruments - things like backing vocals, hand percussion and a few synth bloops and bleeps, but for the sake of s...

Cubase - best way to prepare entire sets of songs?

Hello all! When my live band starts performing again, I'm planning to run Cubase on a laptop onstage containing additional audio tracks and basic MIDI commands (tempo click, effects unit programme changes etc) which will augment the live instruments. The idea is that I'll be able to use the Arranger...

Re: Experiences with Sonarworks Reference 4 Studio

I'm quite interested in the software & mic package - are the discounts typically offered at sale times big enough to be worth hanging on for?

Re: Errrm... Why is the Forum telling me that I have 3 new PMs? I don't!

Cunning ruse by the mods to get those of us who only come here once in a blue moon to log in again? ;)

(It worked, BTW.)

Anyone using Cubasis for Android?

As the more perceptive of you may have realised from the thread title, I was just wondered if any of you have used Cubasis 3 on an Android device, and if so, if you could recommend a USB audio/midi interface which you have had success with.

Thanks!

Ron

Re: Cubase 11 is out, but don't rush!

Still not working for me. New versions of software; I never learn, do I? That's a shame! What stage did you get to? Is your Cubase 10.5 (if you had one) license still working? Finally working! Previously the e-licenser maintenance programme would stop either on phases 1, 3 or 6 (I think), and all C...

Re: Behringer X-Touch - that blue light...

Late to the party as usual, but I've recently got one of these (and, if you'll forgive the expression, the corresponding magnetic Dutch attachment) and so far I've been very impressed. One thing - do your controllers ever disconnect from Cubase in the middle of sessions? A couple of times I've found...

Converting old projects

I've got some ancient Logic projects (mixtures of audio files, audio instruments and MIDI) that I'd like to have a look at in Cubase Pro with a view to reworking. Sadly they are backed up to CDR exactly as they would have been left in Logic 18 years ago, so no bounced files of audio instruments/MIDI...

Re: Stylus RMX

I'll give it a go - at the very least it'll mean the old tracks will be clear for release and with luck I'll find something to spark inspiration for some new recordings.

Thanks for all your comments.

Re: Stylus RMX

I don't own it, but the reason I'm interested is that the Xpanded edition includes some very old loops from previous products which feature on some old recordings which I'm interested in releasing for the first time. In other words by buying the product I'd be licensing the loops. Financially it mak...

Stylus RMX

I'm years out of date on all of this so bear with me.

Is Stylus RMX still relevant as a quick way of getting a ton of loops into a project or are there better/newer/cheaper drum loop packages out there?
