Re: Yoshimi 2.3.5

Thank you for this Will. Looks like a very worthwhile update and as it happens there is a Yoshimi part in one of my Forum Album tracks. I'll update my devices this weekend

Re: Forum slow to

Thanks Will :) For the sake of completeness I'm going to add another option for those wanting a custom email address based on their name. There are companies out there that have realised people want this and they have registered vast numbers of domains which are surnames and who offer a 'click and ...

It's a bit late for some people maybe, but for those who can, I thoroughly recommend getting your own domain name. It's definitely value for money. No matter who you use for a hosting service you can have a website and email address of your choosing. For example mine is musically.me.uk, and my ...

Re: Kurzweil V.A.S.T. but unloved

Why am I reading a thread about people who care about the largely undetectable (unimportant) little differences in recreating a track by some grey haired rockers that few care about, it says a lot, about me and you. Clearly there are people who do care about the largely undetectable differences ...

Re: The cold reality of synthesizers

I wouldn't describe myself as an organist but have taken up that mantle on occasion. The XK5 is a superb instrument, a friend of mine has one with the additional manual and a pedalboard. This pianist can't get enough of it and this synth fan considers it a synth albeit a very specialised one ...

Re: Forum slow to

Sorry Eddy - if the issue seems to be with ipv6, do you want the ipv4 number or the ipv6 number (or are they the same?) IPv6 is more of interest to the tech folk but if you have IPv4 also then please include it. They both identify you as a unique internet user* (and effectively serve the same ...

Re: A very full-featured SID chip synth that's also at a great price? MIDISID Morpheus!

I have to take my hat off to the guy who made this - he's done a great job. Top marks to the chap creating this modern homage to the SID. Totally agree! The designer and builder is, in fact, a woman -- Sheila Dixon; and she's done a bang up job. Oops! I've updated my original reply

I have to take my hat off to the lady who made this - she's done a great job. The SID chip is stuff of legend and rightly so, it was way ahead of anything else until Paula appeared in the Amiga and that's an unfair comparison given that Paula came out later within the context of a 16-bit system with ...

Their upgrade prices do feel to have gone up in the last year or two but you do get a lot for the money. I upgraded to V collection 11 but only because the additional content was worth the upgrade price for me.
