Re: Multi touch screen Synthesizer. Looking for a manufacturer.

I agree with Zenguitar but I have to ask why are you designing something to be an instrument that looks like a large sword or knife? Why?

Re: Arturia unveil AstroLab stage keyboard

I was open to liking this one. Now I'm thinking that even a basic MIDI controller and budget laptop make it look like a turkey.

Yep. I’m struggling to see where it fits. For me a MacBook and MainStage with a good. Controller is what I’d go for. In the studio no benefit at all. :headbang:

Re: Arturia unveil AstroLab stage keyboard

Interesting at first glance. I had an Arturia Origin back in the day. Really liked it but it was a devil to programme. I eventually decided it was a great concept but not realised sufficiently in hardware. I think this looks the same. I can’t get past the fact it’s a cut down controller and a laptop...

Re: New Gibson London store

G4M instead, I'm sure it'll be much the same experience! :D But with a Yorkshire welcome! Seriously the staff in the G4M guitar section are great. No pressure and you can sit all day noodling if you need to. I enjoyed trying a Gibson Les Paul Standard and the sales guy was an absolute star. Left me...

Re: The Wanderlust Suite 1987 mix

Thanks.

It’s been a very cathartic experience of getting it out and now I can move on from it. Our band was only around a few years but it was great fun and I’ve often revisited some of the pieces we did in different interpretations. But now I can let them go…..

Re: No Class

Very interesting. Reminded me of Beggars Opera from the 70s. Nice guitar Adrian really sat well with the discordant chords.

The Wanderlust Suite 1987 mix

Finally put this compilation piece on Bandcamp. It’s a mix of material we used to do in our old band. I’ve taken the liberty to arrange a few bits to try and keep a flow. But it is what it is. :D

Think 1987……..

Re: Wow. Huge track count and Mac not sweating!

Blimney, 110 tracks, what's your middle name 'Wagne :smirk: Actually it’s a track with several sections knitted together, each section has a more manageable 20 or so tracks, but I’ve chosen, with the exception of the beat, to keep them as standalone. I’ve got VCAs for each of the sections that I’m ...

Re: Wow. Huge track count and Mac not sweating!

don't have to worry about overloading the machine any more Indeed running at 64 samples buffer too even at mixing. One instance of Minimonsta in unison mode would pretty much finish my G4 Powerbook + Logic off! I remember! It's incredible isn't it! Certainly leaves me looking for another excuse for...

Wow. Huge track count and Mac not sweating!

I’m working on some releases, one is a 110 track monster. (For me anyway!). It’s a combination of Audio and software. My M1max shows it’s at about 20% across all cores. I’m frankly amazed at the computing power we have now. This is the biggest project I’ve done and put it off because it was so big, ...

UAD VT737. Sounds pretty nice

I don’t generally do reviews, (so I won’t start now :D ) but I got this for about £30 in the UAD sale with the odd token. I had it in my cart and they knew and finally sent me another voucher to seal the deal. Anyway I’ve never used the original but what I can say is that to my ears it’s easy to mak...

You’re right with me but wrong synth…I’d wondered if the title might act as a pointer to what I used…… :bouncy::bouncy:

Anyway I’d say your guesses are the best yet.
