Re: Dire Thomann Customer Service

They asked me for the serial number of the product ... each of the 4 photos I sent them all had on them that they were an "Ultimate AX-48 Pro B". Surely that is the model identifier, not the production serial number? H Possibly, I have no idea. I simply took photos of every number that suggested a ...

Re: Dire Thomann Customer Service

This is hilarious. They asked me for the serial number of the product so I took several photo's of the stickers on the stand and boxes. Their reply... "Unfortunately, the number which you have provided us, were not probably the serial number of the product Ultimate AX-48 Pro B" ... I so wish I could ...

Re: Dire Thomann Customer Service

It has nothing to do with the fact that I've already set up the product that has caused delays, it's the time they're taking between each email to respond. Possibly... but if you'd rejected and returned it immediately I don't think you'd be in this position now. Their systems can handle ...

Re: Dire Thomann Customer Service

They just need to reassure me either... a) they can provide a more reasonable part refund offer b) if they replace it, it can be done without any down time c) if I get a refund, it's not going to take forver and they take care of all collections. Just communicate with me!!! I have the original boxes ...

Hi Hugh, It has nothing to do with the fact that I've already set up the product that has caused delays, it's the time they're taking between each email to respond. I don't get why they won't pick up the phone and call me as I have asked them to do. I have made it clear to Thomann I either want a ...

Dire Thomann Customer Service

Have any of you had any bad customer service experience from Thomann? They've usually always been fairly decent although I haven't used them in quite some time but, recently, I bought an Ultimate AX-48B Keyboard stand from them which clearly was not brand new (the legs were scuffed, dented, rusty ...

Cheers Hugh. Do you feel the Mediadesk 5.1 system be good enough to replace the 2x Yamaha's? I paid about £1200 for the pair back in the day.

Blue Sky Media Desk 5.1

Hi, I currently have a simple Stereo setup, using Yamaha MSP10 Studio monitors which have served me well for the past 10 years or so. I think it's about time to start thinking about upgrading to a 5.1. system as my everyday work is heading this way. I don't have a great budget for now so looking at ...

Re: Roland SRX-99 Special Wave with XV-5080

Yeah, that is a shame... basically someone bought it from me on eBay and, before paying, they pulled out after reading this on Google which is fair play (as long as I can retrieve the seller fees, however I get it). Maybe I need to re-advertise it with this Roland Forums link in mind. Thanks for the ...

Roland SRX-99 Special Wave with XV-5080

Hi,

Does anyone know if there are any problems running the SRX-99 board on the XV synth? I am hearing mixed reviews / messages so wanted to put it out to you guys.

Cheers,
Peter

PC s/ware to replace PG-300 programmer for MKS50

Hi, Is there any s/ware out that that would warrant me to sell my PG-300? I could do with the space and if I can do it just as easily, if not better (automation springs to mind), via s/ware... I am sold. I'm Googling as I type but any direct advice given on here would be hugely appreciated. Cheers ...

Re: Dancing Girls - Nik Kershaw

As I understand it, there's a lot of MKS80 on that album Interesting, I had one of these and it never crossed my mind when hearing any of that album but, now you mention it, I could see that bass sound being made with an 80. But, when I had a Poly 6, the bass sounds I programmed always had that DG ...

Dancing Girls - Nik Kershaw

Hey All,

Do any of you know what that bass seq sound is from? My guess would be either a Prophet 5 or Poly 6 (I could definitely get close with the 6) but, if anyone is sure what it is, please let me know!!!

Sylenth1 Sound Sets

Hey, I had a wander over to Lennar Digital, hoping to download some soundsets, and, WOW, overwhelmed is an understatement... the choice of sound sets and developers who create these are in abundance, so much it hurts my head. So, the golden question is... what developers are considered to be the top ...

Re: Which orchestral sample libraries?

I must add that my above post didn't mean I didn't like the sound of QLSO... it really is awesome... it's Play I had a problem with but, as others in the industry, I've moved onto bigger and better Kontakt based libs. I also recommend layering other libs with QLSO, you can get some superb and rich ...

Hardware Routing Matrix

Hi Guys, I have a stack of h/ware synths I want to route via Cubase and want to set them up in a way that I can just have them working at the flick of a switch, so to speak. At the moment, I have a select few wired directly into my Delta 1010 which isn't ideal and I tend not to bother with the ...

Cinematic Strings... http://www.cinematicstrings.com/ With regards to Play, I use EW QLSO with Play but, for whatever reason, I just don't like it... it's stable enough (although it was a nightmare some time ago)... I was more productive with the EW libraries in Kontakt. Maybe I need to shake off ...

Re: Which orchestral sample libraries?

String wise, Cinematic Strings are my first choice... they're in a league of their own!!! I decided against the HW Strings (and HW BRass, I went with CineBrass instead) purely as it's CPU / RAM intensive, Gold is fair but still heavy on thee olde juice. Plus I hate PLAY. I'll be investing in LASS at ...

Hi,

I am on the market for some extra orchestral string and brass libraries. I currently have EW QLSO Platuinum (Play) and Project SAM Symphobia 1 and 2. My current choices are as per poll but please feel free to submit other options you feel are in the same league.

Cheers,

Re: Kick / Snare Sound Libraries

Hi Martin, I have no doubt it would be a fantastic purchase (the demos sound phenomenal) but it's not what I'm after right now.
