Re: Yet another "anti-YouTube is killing music" letter, but a good one

You're quite loose with your accusations. No, I'm not interested in pirating music. I spend a lot on CD and vinyl. Goodnight.

Re: Yet another "anti-YouTube is killing music" letter, but a good one

That is where the money comes in. That is where the value happens on the part of the pirate's business plan. They take the music that people would otherwise pay for, give it away for free, and either charge for the bandwidth (monthly fee) or make you watch advertising, that people pay for. They off...

Re: Yet another "anti-YouTube is killing music" letter, but a good one

Since the late nineties the music businesses responded to the internet by prosecuting their customers and internet companies. Had they been positive and exploited the new opportunity they might have built something that made Youtube irrelevant for music. Someone that downloads free music is _not_ a...

Re: Yet another "anti-YouTube is killing music" letter, but a good one

Youtube is also the biggest host of illegal copyrighted material and uses this fact as part of a massive business plan. I don't see the SoS forum doing that? Youtube is therefore intentionally exploiting this safe harbor. Youtube benefits from Safe Harbour because: They don't upload copyrighted mat...

Glad you sorted your problem out. Be aware that Flash is on the way out. Google, Apple, Microsoft and even Adobe are making every effort to kill him. Re: Sync

Did you get further down the knowledgebase page? If you continue to have issues, you can use the "ignoreportfilter" and the "enableemulated" files. These two files are stored inside a folder named "midi port enabler" which can be found inside the Cubase/Nuendo/Sequel ap...

Re: What is the most professional piano plugin?

I haven't made a hit record myself... but I would hazard a guess that it's all about context. In the context of a loud and pumping mix where the piano is part of the overall texture I don't see why a built in piano sound couldn't be used. If the piano will feature solo then you would want something ...

Robin Googling audio pc s Molten is Top 3, Page 1. Odd - it's all in the "s" - if you google audio pc without the s then i'm nowhere. You have a menu item "Audio PCs". Try to add the phrase "Audio PC" in your homepage somewhere sensible. I think it would work better if...

Re: Is the Windows 10 updater to insistent for you? Found an app to fix it

So now Microsoft are offering the option of updating now or tonight. Apparently you can't not update. If you click the x top right to cancel the dialog that cancels the update but you have to know that. For less savvy users this could be quite unsettling. There is a story about it here http://www.th...

Re: Horrible if confirmed universally true - W10 deleting programs it doesn't like - Speccy, others

For me the whole thing is moot. If you use (for instance) a Microsoft OS or Google services (I do) then you have sacrificed some degree of privacy, and control over your data and computer. If you care about these things then you have to take precautions yourself. It's not realistic to expect Micros...
