Re: Drivers for RCF ART 500A

Have a word with the folk at Ampman, Official UK service centre for RCF. I’ve had a few spares off them in the past and made a couple of enquiries and always found them very helpful.

Just a thought

Re: Small multi-pin XLR snakes?

I feel your pain, nothing worse than trying to plum all that lot in a hurry with a co-ordinatior expecting background music on before you’ve even finished loading in We have Veam connectors on all our stage boxes at the box end but you could use them at the mixer end, very expensive and a lot of wor...

Midi issue - Diy Controller to Chauvet DMX desk

I built a simple 8 button midi controller during the recent "quiet spell" using an arduino nano and it appeared to do what i wanted it to do - send basic midi signals to my chauvet obey 40 dmx desk Now we're actually going out and doing a few gigs, I've discovered it doesn't work properly....

New RCF 9 Series - heard them yet?

Just wondering if anybody has had chance to listen to any of the new 9 series cabs from RCF. Allegedly a step up from the 7 series. Was going to pick up a pair of 732s at the back end of the month ready for a relatively busy Oct/November but now may wait for more reviews on the 9 series

Cheers

Headset mic for stage to FOH comms

Just finished unpacking following the first and penultimate festival of the season and already looking for some additional kit. I’m after a sensibly priced (£50 ish) but robust headset mic for communicating between stage & FOH so I can chat while keeping my hands free to do what needs to be done...

Nice see some chirpy responses! Well, i decided to have a change of career last March and secured a full time post in the AV industry, needless to say, I've worn out some broom heads in the last 14 months. Picking up slowly but were still only at 25% - Gig wise, I've a few bits booked in but quickly...

SD condenser mic question.

I’m looking at adding a pair of budget sdc’s to my humble mic collection and was wondering if having the option of a pad and low cut is worth spending a few extra ££ Looking at the likes of the rode Mt5, Lewitt lct040 and Se Se7 which all come in at under £200 for a matched pair, only the se7 having...

Re: new active monitors for my office/tinkering room

For my money, at that price it's hard to get past Adam's T5V... Thanks mate, on the shortlist. Just a bit concerned about the footprint. Tape measure and masking tape time I'm very happy with my iLoud Micro Monitors They are tiny, front ported and have a built in isolating kick stand for desktop us...

new active monitors for my office/tinkering room

Looking for some new compact monitors My office is quite small with lots of shelving and practically no soft furnishings other than the carpet, blind and equipment bags on said shelving, it's almost tall as it is wide. Most of the reflections seem to come from above head height but it's not really a...

Re: old mac mini and line 6 interface - upgrades?

Thanks Paul I can record and change the inputs without launching Gearbox, have just been recording some audio samples using mic/instrument/stereo to hammer the Mac to see If it’ll fall over. Work in progress. When it came to the vocals, it was a case of put up with some terrible latency or launch ge...

Re: old mac mini and line 6 interface - upgrades?

Thanks Sam. I can live without gearbox for recording using various plugins available but it's main benefit is that i can fire it up and jam along to whatever very easily, with all the effects instantly available without the need to run any other software. I'm very tempted to stick with the toneport ...
