Re: Anyone try the Bose S1 and Everse 8?
I use S1s a lot because they sound very good, are very compact, and have a reasonable output level which is fine for small gigs and as foldback and local monitoring. I know they were designed as a busker's speaker with direct mic and instrument inputs... but the lack of a proper balanced line input ...

Re: Anyone try the Bose S1 and Everse 8?
Thanks for sharing your experiences with the S1’s. Apparently the newer S1 Pro versions have a little more output and some subtle improvements in audio performance?
I’m hoping to get the opportunity to compare these with the Everse 8 at some point in the near future!

Re: Rcf 932a - worthy upgrade?
Yes both the mk2 and mk3 have the same power amp ratings so I’m also thinking any performance increases are to do with the bass motion control. RCF use a soft limiter for their mid range and budget products and fast limiters on their high end products. According to their rep, when you start seeing t ...

Re: Rcf 932a - worthy upgrade?
I had the opportunity to put the 702as mk3’s with NX910’s through their paces at the weekend at an outdoor amphitheater that I’ve run sound at a few times before. There were between 260-280 people in the audience and I ran a fully miked drum kit, 5 string bass guitar (no backline), 2x keys, 2x lead v ...

Re: Anyone try the Bose S1 and Everse 8?
Thought I’d bump this thread to share my experiences with the S1’s. I have been borrowing a pair of the S1’s for a variety of uses from keyboard/bass guitar amp, FOH for presentations and wedding ceremonies to stage monitors. Here is a photo from a recent event where they were used as monitors. I hav ...

Re: Cable to connect Fischer IEM body pack to A&H QU-PAC
The only thing I know about the A&H QU-PAC outputs are they're balanced?

Thanks I'll do this

Re: Microphone stand suggestions?
Mic stands are not high level engineering, I have a mix of K&M, Beyer and no-name stands which all work ok*. As long as you have a few spares you'll be fine. * I'm definitely an advocate of buying good gear for piece of mind and for long term reliability but I have old, cheap mic stands which are ...

Re: Microphone stand suggestions?
The screws for the tripod base have arrived today and they have fixed the issue. My Pulse stands have had a fare amount of use for almost 10 years and the only issue I've had is a simple £1 fix. This makes me feel more inclined to get a couple more for the immediate future as I don't really have the ...

Re: Cable to connect Fischer IEM body pack to A&H QU-PAC
Thanks. It is the Fischer In Ear Stick. I need two female XLR outputs from the QU-PAC to one single male XLR into the Fischer In Ear Stick.

Cable to connect Fischer IEM body pack to A&H QU-PAC
Hi, I'm looking to buy a cable to be able to use my Fischer IEM belt pack in stereo. The specs for the Fischer In Ear Stick say it is configurable for balanced mono signals or unbalanced stereo signals. The QU-PAC has balanced outputs so do I need a Y cable with two female balanced XLR's to a single ...

Re: Microphone stand suggestions?
It's K&M all the way for me. I've had too many issues with cheap stands in the past. Cheap stands - quite hideous - horrible to use and fall to bits. That said, the Pulse ones were reasonable for the money - especially the short ones. But they'll eventually fail exactly as you've found, with thread ...

They should work fine if the thread in the base is good.
Oops yes, 14mm

Re: Microphone stand suggestions?
I have just measured the bolt and would say it’s roughly 6mm in diameter and 140mm in length.

Re: Microphone stand suggestions?
Thanks. It looks like K&M sell these bolts in lots of different sizes! I just need to find the correct sized nut to fit one of these and hopefully all will be sorted. As none of the other parts on the Pulse stands have failed I would prefer to fix these especially if it’s a simple fix that will only ...

Re: Microphone stand suggestions?
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. These will be for live use. Everything else about the Pulse stands have been working fine, it’s just the screw at the base of the tripod that has worn. I will have a look in a few local hardware stores to see if there is anything available. Also, I have messaged P ...

Microphone stand suggestions?
Hi, I have a few budget (£20) Pulse mic stands which have had a lot of use over the past 10years. Recently I’ve experienced an issue with the screw in the tripod base where it no longer tightens. As a result, I’m either considering fixing these stands or buy something new. Has anyone experienced this ...

Trolley/cart for PA?
Hi,
I’m looking to buy a trolley/cart for a pair of RCF 702as mk3’s. If it’s convenient I would also potentially like to put a pair of RCF NX910’s on as well but not essential.
Some of the venues I play at are pretty rural so fields and gravel are quite common.
What would you recommend?
