Re: Formatting a HD for MAC and Windows
This isn’t a solution in your situation (as I’m assuming the Macs are not yours) - however for others looking here… For years I’ve used Paragons’ ‘Microsoft NTFS for Mac’ with no problems - running attached drives natively formatted (APFS nowadays) but also having full read/write access to NTFS driv...

Re: Simple equipment for speaking at meetings with roving mic
At the budget end, I've used one of these for sessions of that size and it's worked fine: https://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/QTX-QX12PA-Plus-12-PA-Speaker-With-Wireless-Microphones/23I4 Yup…… I’ve come across these lately in folk music pub sessions, there are also models with two radio m...

Re: Telefunken/Neumann/akg c12/251 questions
Indeed, I’ve have had to remind myself many times that nobody knows nor will they care what microphone was used. So very easy to get caught up. Abs…. I had to pack my gear away January 2022 - only just unpacking…. so chose a couple of mics to travel with me. All the Neumann’s, Schoeps, Fleas etc we...

Re: Share your experience upgrading to more expensive monitors..
Yup - I’m shouted at by NS10’s here (and a Mixcube in fact - I also had a pair of Auratones back in the day - but that’s another story). I’ve used many monitors over the years, LS35a’s, lots of the KRK range from big to small, PMC, Adam, Quested, JBL, Tannoy (when they were gorgeous) etc… currently ...

Re: Room, T60, and Genelec GLM Grade implications
Interesting……. but unfortunately no particular advice as yet as I’m about six weeks behind you….. still trying to evict the builders… I’m just about to equip and treat a very similar single-room with 8351b’s and sub. My (typically idle) approach is to get an acoustician in to deal with this for me, ...

Re: What analog EQ for what purpose
‘fetish’ is a good description in my view of this type of discussion. When I started out in the seventies an engineer had access pretty much only to the desk EQ and a couple of outboard units. And tbh, although I'm lucky enough to have most of the main suspects in my racks I’ve always tended towards...

Re: Thinking of moving to Logic.
What hasn’t been mentioned Arp (and is worth pointing out in my view) is cost. If you have a Mac then at circa £200 Logic, in comparison with the others out there is an absolute bargain.
