haha, I'd even look at one that has no after touch, but pads and a couple of footswitch jacks!
What's with these units with the CV jacks? I thought CV went out in the 90s?

Re: 37 note controller with after-touch?
no sustain pedal input. Controls look a bit dinky and not for fat fingers display is too small and is near $3k "downunder" - apart from that it looks nice!

37 note controller with after-touch?
Does anyone know of a 37 note controller that has after-touch on the keys as well as the pads? I've found models that have after-touch on the pads but not the keys and that's about it. Need the 37 (full size keys) for space issues with other gear on the keys stand. I think there are 49 and 61 note ...

Re: Best USB-C dock for iPad - need suggestions
This announcement from IBC Show this week looks tasty for iPhone users: https://www.cined.com/blackmagic-pro-dock-for-iphone-17-announced-pro-connectivity-for-mobile-filmmakers/ Looks nice, but I doubt the audio from the 3.5 is much better than other standard 3.5s - as the article states " for ...

Re: Best USB-C dock for iPad - need suggestions
Got a suggestion from elsewhere that makes sense and could work well.
Use a quality Targus (et al) USB-C dock but add a dedicated USB-A or USB-3 DAC dongle, of which there are several high quality ones available.

Re: Best USB-C dock for iPad - need suggestions
Thanks all! Interesting thoughts. I too would wish that makers of these things back in the old Apple 30 pin connector days would step up and recreate. Probably their "bean-counters" have determined there is no profit in it I guess. Will keep looking...if I DO find something I will certainly post ...

Re: Best USB-C dock for iPad - need suggestions
USB docks are about as utilitarian as a thing can get! I'm not sure what is to compare. You pick the ports you need and buy the closest match! That said, it sounds like it is the DAC is the important bit to you. Actually it sounds like you really want a decent digital headphone amp. -if I was ...

Re: Best USB-C dock for iPad - need suggestions
thanks, yes I found some decent gear on the Targus webpage and like that one you listed, they are not compatible with iOS or iPads. Added to that they all have a separate DC power supply and are not powered from the Apple USB-C charger devices. I have even considered using a HDMI to audio adapter ...

Best USB-C dock for iPad - need suggestions
Suggestions, yes, but from actual users of the gear, not links to online reviews and lists...I have been through many of those and it just gets confusing as to what to trust, what actually works as advertised what is 100% reliable, etc, etc. Hence I am asking for direct user experience with the ...

Got it sorted using Camelot Pro and an app called Surface Builder. Which allows me to remotely control Camelot from my iPhone, with Camelot running in the background!

Re: having a tough time re running AUs live...
A couple of ideas spring to mind, A Korg Nano control or Nanopad to add buttons and controls you can map to your host. Or a Streamdeck of some kind with the streamdeck MIDI plugin. Thanks. I do have a nano but I am trying to avoid any more devices and cables. But it might yet come to that in the ...

Having a tough time re running AUs live...
Here is what I need to do. I need to have some sort of app (Camelot Pro, Mainstage, Gig Performer et al) to load and play AUs (PianoTeq, Neo-Soul Sampletank etc) live from a keyboard. Using a Macbook Air. Now, that by itself is ok, but the issue, and where I am finding it difficult to figure a ...

Re: Attaching velcro to Macbook Air for a stand - damage?
There are various hard shell cases available for the air. If you got one of those, you could put the Velcro on that Thinking mode engaged. “I wonder if you could design a 3d printed clip on holder that replaces the top of a K&M music stand…Hmmm.” Yeah that would work too! Trouble is getting the 3d p ...

Re: Attaching velcro to Macbook Air for a stand - damage?
I don't know whether you could do something similar for the Macbook, but my lad has just made a batch of backplate protectors for Boss pedals which allow you to attach the pedal to a pedal board with Velcro without the adhesive damaging the back plate of the pedal. That sounds interesting - can you ...

Attaching velcro to Macbook Air for a stand - damage?
I am wanting to attach 3m Dual-Lock (very strong hook/loop) to the rear of my macbook air to enable attachment to a stand. My question is, would constant attaching/removing damage either the rear panel or parts inside? As you remove the stand plate connected to the dual-lock, I imagine it would ...

Maybe I'll look at somehow connecting the two?? Not sure if it's even possible hahaha!

We just don't want to make too much fun of someone who plays a keytar! :D Thereby promulgating the whole diss of anyone who thinks of using one...guitarist playing "chunka chunka" chords over a four piece band track are somehow thought of as "musicians" and someone who has to form chords and melody ...
