Re: IDE and SATA hard drive adapters

Had a few, both simple SATA USB cable and one of the vertical docks, both worked fine. Ones that support USB SCSI? mode are supposedly faster but probably won't matter for IDE.

Re: Can I use any USB-C cable for monitor?

Not long enough in your application but I find the IKEA ones to be the best value.

Re: Inexperienced Users - X32 or A&H Qu... or...?

Dependant on what's required would an X32 and some sort of MIDI controller work, MIDI CC#'s work for level control and program change messages for scenes (plus there's a load of other things you can control). Gives you a good way of giving restricted access without them even needing to touch the mai...

Re: UK plug socket to IEC socket

Yes that is fine, you have to be careful with wire size on some 5A rated IEC leads but given the short length even that shouldn't be an issue.

And now a 49 key (so DM12 size) 8 voice Juno6/60 clone, the Neptune 80. No idea of release schedule but a working prototype exists at least. Re: The Behringer Keyboards 'n' Stuff Thread #3

And on the repair front Behringer are actually helping by reissuing some of the old unobtanium chips. Behringer really use nothing special in their synths, either using their own reissued/cloned analogue IC's or where that is not economical their products use discrete component solutions that don't ...

Re: Need to retrieve audio files off old Roland VS 1680

Looking at the manual there is a few ways to back it up but they all appear to be in VS specific formats, there is however this software that allows you to convert the Roland specific audio files into wave files, you do need to get the HDD out of the VS or copy them to a SCSI drive. http://www.thego...

Re: The Behringer Keyboards 'n' Stuff Thread #3

I think this vintage recreation thing is getting a bit boring for a lot of people, and, it’s a finite market. And, those with deep pockets won’t be interested in this stuff, let’s face it, if you’ve got the money, you’d get an original, and you’d not worry about upkeep. Look into any famous players...

Wonks wrote: Fri Mar 03, 2023 8:47 pm I do find it a bit strange that the under-bench sockets appear to be UK sockets and not Chinese A, C or I sockets.

I wouldn't trust chinesium sockets and I bet they don't too, also UK sockets are polarised so probably safer in a test environment.
