Re: Anyone else's Neumann KH80 randomly reset themselves?

I'm gonna disable the auto standby for a while and see how that affects things. Hi Kayvon, I wonder is this problem still happening to you since you disabled the auto standby feature? I got a pair of these monitors a few weeks back and one or the other will just shut off at random. It's been ...

Re: Computer screens to avoid eye-related problems

+1 for Flux.

Its quite flexible too by allowing you to customise how you want the brightness of the screen to change depending on the time of day.

Re: Latest anti-virus/malware software advice?

I also use Microsoft Security Essentials and have been for a long time, and I also run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware even once in a while. I haven't had any real malware troubles for years. I also recommend Web Of Trust to a lot of people when it comes to keeping your PC clean. You can get it here at ...

Re: Chorus/Delay/Reverb plugins

For reverb try the Valhalla stuff, Room and Vintage Verb. Well worth a look. When not using ReaDelay I use NastyDLA, which was mentioned already, or H-Delay from Waves (happened to pick it up cheaply last year). For chorus I really like Acon Digital's Multiply which is another freebie.

Re: Online backup options

Thanks for your input guys. I keep the current/active projects in a folder on my (Windows 7 c:\ drive) desktop. I open/save work to these files and folders, then when done I close and copy/paste them to a project folder I have on another hard drive (in my case I've called it D:\). Weekly the D ...

Online backup options

Hi everyone, I've just had to deal with the loss of a bunch of sessions and projects after the death of a hard drive in my main PC. Most of my data was recently backed up to other drives but I hadn't yet backed up these projects before the sudden and unexpected failure. I'm considering adding some ...

Re: Buying Waves Diamond on Offer??

Also, a good place to get impulses??? Although I'm liking ValhallaRoom rather a lot I have to say (thanks Elf)! But it's nice to have choices and understand a bit more about how these things work! Try these: Bricasti M7 - http://www.samplicity.com/bricasti-m7-impulse-responses/ Lexicon 480L- http ...

Re: Windows 7 Audio problems... Arrrgghhhh !!!

Well, M-A do list W7 32 and 64bit drivers for the Ozone and I have never had a bother with M-A drivers for two products, 2496 card (even worked in WMCEd!) and a Fast Track pro so give that a go. If you still have issues try removing all drivers for external interfaces and see if the internal ...

Windows 7 Audio problems... Arrrgghhhh !!!

Hi, I recently upgraded my bedroom PC to Windows 7 32-bit. It had been running XP perfectly for a number of years since the computer was built but given the support for XP is ending this month I have been forced into this upgrade. The upgrade adviser approved everything in the system for use with ...

Plugin for timing your session

Hi guys, I recently read online (or was it a video I watched?... anyway...) about a plugin you put on the master and it records the length of time you've worked on the session. It was a VST as far as I can remember, and maybe a freebie too. Has anyone come across this? I can't remember what it was ...
