Studiomaster Powerhouse 300

I have acquired one of these and everything works ok apart from the reverb and output LEDs.
The reverb shows a constant overload light warning and doesn’t.
All tge output LEDs are on all the time.
Anyone experienced with these?

Cheers for that.
Don’t know if it is the bridge or neck pick up but I could wire it up to see if it works.

Re: Active Pick Up Pot Size

I don’t have the pick up to hand but think it was an IBZ-LZ which I think is an Ibanez model.I think it needs a 3volt power supply.

Active Pick Up Pot Size

I have an active pick up to install in a guitar.
Do active pick ups need different resistance values on the control pots than non active ones?

Strymon Iridium

Thinking of getting Strymon Iridium for my birthday.
I already have an Atomic Amplifire and was wondering if the Strymon would be any better? I would be using it for direct recording.
Maybe just another case of gear lust!

Re: Behringer Eurodesk 1604A

**update**
I tracked the problem down to a fader which had gone open circuit.
Got one off eBay and it now works ok.
Behringer gear not the best to work on!

Behringer Eurodesk 1604A

One of the channels on the desk works when you depress the pfl button but when not on pfl it doesn’t pass to the main buss.
The other channels work fine.
Any ideas?

Re: MXL R144 Ribbon Mic

I find that I need to use a fair bit of low end roll off with the Mxl but to me it still sounds better than an sm57 which I find a bit “brittle”.
Wise advice I think I have a bit of gear lust!

MXL R144 Ribbon Mic

I have been using an MXL ribbon mic on my guitar amp for ages.
I like the sound of the ribbon mic on guitar amps.
I am thinking of maybe upgrading the mic to say a Rode NTR.
Just wondering if it would be worth it?
