SOS site being blocked

Is there a reason why I can't access the site using a VPN? This has only just started happening and I get a 'request blocked' message. Thanks.

Re: Yamaha 02R digital mixing console.

How easy is it to upgrade the eproms on the 02R? Is it worth getting the TC Unity card for the FX? Just curious as there are a lot of desks on ebay and I've been offered one for peanuts so just thinking it might be a good project to have - used to own one years ago before going in the box but I have ...

Re: Kontakt multi-output issues

In the current version of Logic/Kontakt you simply create the instrument with the desired output config. In Logic's mixer, create additional Aux channels for each Kontakt output and that's it.

Re: Kontakt multi-output issues

I thought I was getting there, but now I seem to have got myself to a position where there are now four DEFAULT stereo outputs from Kontakt, and I can't delete the extra ones. Daniel Can you be a bit more clear about what you mean here? When you create a Kontakt instrument in Logic you should get a ...

Re: Logic plug ins not passing validation

I'd suggest taking a couple of failed plugins and re-installing them again. If that works you may just have to repeat the process for the others which I appreciate is not what you want to do. I don't know of a simple fix for this I'm afraid. Whenever I've installed new drives I've always taken a ...

Re: Logic plug ins not passing validation

Sometimes when I've had issues like this I've managed it through Logic's Plugin Manager, re-scanning failed plugins individually. Did you use the Migration Assistant to build the new hard drive?

Re: Logic 11 - 72 Gb on external drive?

IAA wrote: Tue Dec 10, 2024 6:20 am
Of course. Just do it the way Apple recommends rather than mess with Aliases.

Except I think 're-locating the sound library' only applies to Logic's own content and not the Apple loops. You'd still have to use aliases for that.

Re: Speed or Ram, M1 Studio or M4 mini advice appreciated!

All I need is a machine that will run the latest Logic 16 audio tracks maximum, with a few plug ins here and there. If that is all you are doing I think a Mac Studio M1 with 64Gb Ram is overkill. I'd go for the M4 Mac Mini with 16Gb Ram and a 512Gb SSD which is £799. You can easily add more ...

Re: Is it worth switching from PC to Mac, and which one?

Can I ask? "Aggregate Devices", this facility of macs is oft trumpeted but I have read that it is more often pretty difficult to use in practice? I've used them for years off and on and have never had a problem. I currently have a device which aggregates my Roland Fantom (32 in 4 out) and a RME ...

Re: I closed my Laptop Lids forever

Although I have an M1 Macbook Pro, my main computer is still my 2012 'Cheesegrater' Mac Pro. It runs 6 SSDs (I've removed the DVD drive), I can still use the firewire ports for my RME Fireface and I also use Open Core software to run OSX Monterey and Sonoma on different drives. It has never let me ...

Recommend multifx box with looper?

Looking for a multifx/@amp sim unit with easy to use looper for my son to help with learning solos etc. Second hand is fine up to about £150 just so he can practise. One of the Boss ME units maybe? There are so many these days and I’m not a guitar player so need a bit of advice. Cheers.

There are various hard shell cases available for the air. If you got one of those, you could put the Velcro on that +1. I have one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/MOSISO-MacBook-Release-Display-Compatible/dp/B07KK8DHSB/ref=sr_1_3?crid=21RQSO6II7PTJ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.33M9MLLT ...

Re: Using the Yamaha 01x with MLan on a "modern" Mac.

In a nutshell, no you can't. Yamaha did not update many of their 32bit apps so OSX Mojave is probably the last version of OSX it will work with. My Yamaha N12 mixer suffered the same fate. It did however continue to work under Windows 10 until I sold it.

Yes it is supported. Driver Version 3.391 supports OS 10.9 to 10.15 and High Sierra is 10.13. Easy info to find on the RME website if the buyer needs to check it out further.
