Re: multi usb-c adapter for Mac? Is it even possible?

Depending on the audio interface, since USB 3 onwards it can deliver more current than USB 2 (up to 3A in the case of USB 3.2), so you might well be able to use an unpowered hub. I have a four way hub that I use on both my M3 Macbook Pro and M1 Macbook Air; currently running a Behringer UMC404, a Pr...

Re: Keyboard Controller for Studio One

A couple of weeks late to this but I recently bought one of the new NI Control keyboards. After installing the NI driver, Studio One finds it automatically and it is all set up, knobs and transport controls. No pads, but I have an Atom to cover that.

Re: How to connect two MIDI keyboards to Studio One

In Studio One you would need to configure two External Devices (there's a link to that in the Setup box on the start page). In the External Devices page, click the Add button and select New Keyboard. Give it a name and select the relevant MIDI input. Do that for both keyboards and you're good to go....

Re: Cubase13 Premature Jubilation

What are the softsynths that sound as sweet as kraftwerk then? What are the hardware synths that sound as sweet as Genesis then? Neither question makes any sense. If you like the sound of that music that's about the users - not the tools. I'm wondering if that's the same Kraftwerk who have used sof...

Just watched this YouTube video and passed the survey/exam with flying colours, so I'm sharing it for others to have a bit of fun and discover their own answer. https://youtu.be/_jtPdpWgu0w The only one that gave me pause was the penultimate one, it clearly didn't resolve as neatly as 13 but I didn...

Re: Pulling my hair out trying to get ssl/harrison microglide to work as stereo

(Speaking from a point of view of never having used this plug-in, but having seen this type of mono/stereo confusion - especially in Cubase - many times...) Are you placing the plug-in as an insert on a mono track? If so (and if it's a similar situation to the one I've seen a hundred times in Cubas...

Re: Any synth that really sounds different

Doesn't look like they did very in-depth research, I can think of several software and hardware synths not mentioned that have variance in their voices from note to note. Still, if the end music is lacklustre and uninteresting, the problem is much more likely to be with the composer/producer than th...

Re: Guitar...don't look. The penny drops.

For me, I've been practising more scales recently so I get more familiar with the muscle memory and I don't have to look, mainly because the angle my neck is at when looking at the fretboard severely aggravates my arthritis; the choice has been made for me :D
