Re: When, and why did key changes go out of fashion?

Nik Kershaw, he put random chords and key changes in places that most people would think were absolutely bonkers , and some of the chords changes sound weird when not played in context with the song. Italics added by me. Nik Kershaw, my hero. I always knew his music was interesting and engaging ...

Re: Jeff Beck auction

Yes, I said technique isn’t important "to some" depends what type of music you’re making, but even then, there is some techniques involved in every type of music, I wouldn’t say I could do what Brian Eno does simply because he has no traditional musical knowledge, he’s a self confessed non-musician, ...

I'll add that link to my education. 8-) 8-) :: The more experience you get, the more your playing becomes less about your voice and more about the song. Re: When, and why did key changes go out of fashion?

And this applies only to chart-directed pop music of course, which is a tiny fraction of the music being released (even if counts for most of the sales). I have close to zero idea of Raga, afaik a singer an instrumentalist will stick to a Raga for the duration of the performance, there's no change ...

I popped in to this today. Quite interesting and it was done well. JB wasn't one for looking after his guitars by the looks of it. Probably the guitar I most regret parting with was my Aria TA-50 in Wine Red. An Aria TA-50 sold 165 in October auction site. Wish I'd know I'd have put a bid in upto 200. I had a Harley Benton HB35 semi hollow. Picked it up from cash converters of all places under a ton. Pretty alright. https ...

Re: Techno production. Acoustic room treatment or a sub? Which would you prioritise?

I've committed to taking a deep dive into techno production this year with an aim to mastering it, or at least as much as you can in twelve months. As genres go it was always one of my first loves. I'm happy with my monitors (Genelec 8330As) which I know well and I'm satisfied enough with my mixes ...

Re: A visit to Auden Guitars

Auden acoustics were once finished off in the UK with bodies made abroad, but as I understand it, they are now planing to make them all in-house.
