Re: vox/gtr looping with no active gtr

thanks for that feedback. I agree very much with the live sound issue that could/probably would ensue. My RC-30 is currently in delinquent mode (only making very short loops) so i'm thinking of giving her the easier RC-1 pedal and passing on the 'next guitar' and acoustic pickup advice. The fx for ...

Shipping gear to Saudi Arabia... any advice?

Hi... I chose this section as it does mention gear. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions of reputable companies to send my ambient qp6200 boom pole and the associated fittings to Saudi Arabia. I am currently sending a request to transline but that does seem like a rather large shipping company ...

Re: sonible/pure:unmask.... screen stutters on continuos scrolling/reaper

Hi again, sorry for break in comms (had a date with a surgeon)
I deleted all Sonible per their instructions and redownloaded the plugin... now it's working as it should.
Some useful thoughts though, so many thanks.
A lingering question of course...why?

sonible/pure:unmask.... screen stutters on continuos scrolling/reaper

Greetings:) when i add sonible-pure:unmask to a project, the screen scrolling stutters and jerks & jumps in small increments... not random (to naked eye). The audio (to the naked ear, seems unaffected). This happens with the plugin floated or docked. I run three monitors and it happens on all (i say ...

Re: MP3 to24bit: how bad can it get?

to tidy up: i have asked the recording guy to send me files or a stereo mix on wetransfer. he uses a zoom recorder and does record at 44.1/24bit. he sent the mp3 as a quick means of appraisal (?).... probably didn't expect me to fiddle etc. i now have the raw files and everythings fine between us ...

MP3 to24bit: how bad can it get?

Hi all... i grasp it's not ideal, but i'm wanting to know more clearly why not. An internet search hasn't clarified. A friend made location recordings in a forest involving flutes and woodwind, looped guitars and various fx at source. He hasn't been clear what the original files were recorded to but ...

Re: W10 to W11: upgrade mother board or new 3XS PC

Thanks for that and I'm working on it. I will make a proper list and get back to scan and see how their original quote Tally's up to the price they suggested and yes I will organize my needs and tell them about that too to see what they suggest. W10 to W11: upgrade mother board or new 3XS PC

Hi all, i'm wondering if there is something else to consider rather than "how longs a piece of string" My Scanpc 3XS pc was purchased in 2014 and is unsuitable for an upgrade of Windows OS 10 to 11. So far the system has met my needs and runs x2 UAD2 duo core and x1 duo core accelerator card. i run ...

appreciating these responses  i'm working through Kenny Gioia videos right now and browsing product manuals. Hesitant to add single fader controller.

Hello, with my hand still in 'mouse cramp distress'... i purchased the SOS PDF on single fader controllers. I am unsure how they actually get incorporated into my DAW. My needs are modest!..... I don't use or really understand midi and my tech skills are limited. I'm using a lot of automation on ...

all replies appreciated (i think ;) ) It's become perversely intriguing to dive in.. probably making matters worse... but being presented with the inner mind of a DAW. Re: Ideas: small stage monitor for acoustic open mic

P.s. (again).... I offered to fund and organize a proper training session in the basics with my pro sound colleague who does this work 24/7 but so far they have declined. If I displayed any reticence on the evening itself it was partly because this group initiative developed out of a female only ...
