Also just make sure you arent putting too much on your wall socket, don't have an extension in to an extension on a three way wall plug.

Re: Buzzing fret
Not quite true. You can reset a neck by removing it and refitting it. But there is also the option of removing the back of the guitar, adjusting the neck/body angle, and then refitting the back. OK, so you have to refit the binding and then refinish. But it shows there's more than one way to skin ...

Re: Ordering from Thomann...
Years gone past I have bought guitars from EU CHina and USA and paid the 4% import duty NOW they want an extra 20% VAT on top !!! This includes second hand and no matter whether its complete or in pieces as this was one way round the import duty. I can understand the logic BUT its a killer cos its ...

Re: Playing in Different Tunings
You have to have separate guitars if you are not doing just basic one or two different string adjustments. I love experimenting with tuning and in the weird alt rock world it almost becomes a go to. For the band I play in we have used about 20 different tunings for all the songs we have ever ...

Re: New starter aged 6
I wouldn't worry about the bad habits so much as if you are enthusiastic about learning enough then by the time you start teaching yourself things then you immediately start to develop bad habits as you are more enthusiastic about the instrument than anything else. everyone develops bad habits and ...

Unfortunately for classical is that the only "adjustment" on a neck is a neck reset.

Re: Condenser Mic Recommendation Please - for my male vocals (not rap or metal) and Acoustic guitar
If you are a confident ebay user then I would just buy some reccomendations used and if they arent working for you then just sell it and get a different one especially at the moment when it isnt the easiest to audition gear. I love the AT4033 as mentioned above and on the rare occasion I use an LDC ...

Re: Buzzing fret
Good advice, all - thank you. I like this guitar, so it's off to a luthier. good choice, dont mess with things you arent 100% confident doing and in my experience with acoustics its either going to be the neck needs an adjustment or the bridge has become worn and will have to be recut or a new one ...

Re: New starter aged 6
Is a book the best approach for a modern six year old? (obviously only you and him are the only ones that know) as most six year olds I encounter respond better to screens and you have downloadable books etc, but maybe lessons on zoom or basic instructional videos are the way to go. I just remember ...

Re: Low Watt Guitar Amp for Recording at Home
In this day and age I'd not worry about watts and get whatever you want 50-100 watts and then get a loadbox / IR solution so many good options out there, Universal Audio OX, Suhr Reactive Load IR, Two Notes do a few, Boss entered the game recently. I have a 120 watt Peavey I can crank that up ...

Re: Tape machines
I started when tape was on its way out and it was adat unless you were in a "fancy" studio. ADAT's are painfully slow if you are using more than one machine - they can take ages to sync up. While I had a couple of them when I was running a commercial studio, much of our work remained on analogue ...

Ehhhhh, just wait for behringer to make one :headbang: :bouncy:   :headbang: That will never happen, too complex, fiddly, for Behringer, all that mechanical stuff, plus, they go wrong, warranties etc. I thought going wrong was Behringers specialty 10 years ago. as a tape person I wish ...

Re: What compact power supply to buy to run 6+ pedals?
This is not something to buy cheaply unless you get a second hand bargain. I've seen so many people blow pedals by using the cheap maplin style psus. you need isolated and im not sure that anyone would want the noise from cheaper supplies. voodoo labs are always the best and the bbe supa charger can ...
