Re: Had my heart set on a Clarett 4pre to use with Logic, but having second thoughts...

Slight misunderstanding I think - it's PFB where I hear echoes of Slint and Deftones.

But you should definitely check out Spotlights, they're awesome! To that end, here's a handy link;

Re: The future of the pro audio industry?

I would posit that Apple are attempting to address the chicken / egg problem WRT surround / spatial audio and they might just have the industry clout to pull it off.

No, he's got a project called Planning For Burial - check out his last LP Below the House from 2017. And RME looks cool but it looks like WAY overkill for me in terms of both price and my skill set. Nice! Not a million miles away from Spotlights actually (throw in a bit of Slint . . . Medicine, Def...

Re: Loopback or Blackhole Audio routing Software for Windows.

Foobar 2K with SRC loaded as a DSP plugin should do the trick.

I seem to have created clean Arduino code. I now await the test hardware arriving, whereupon I can bui...

Could be nothing or could be some fascinating stuff in there.

Oh for f*** sake . . . apology retracted.

Re: Tempo and cue light display

Having posted the suggestion I actually did try and track down some more detailed info on this earlier, but it looks like I may have overstated the case. There's the Critter&Guitari Organelle, which runs Pd patches but that seems to be a synthesiser only. I think this was probably the hardware I...

Re: Logic Pro X USB midi question.

To be fair, Apple have improved it almost beyond measure from the Emagic days - when it really could have been called "Cryptic" without a trace of irony.

Re: Bad VSTi sound again.

That's precisely the reason I suggested Arpangel try panning a mono-source, to ascertain if there were some phase-reversed multichannel action in play due to running in and out via ADAT.
