Some rude words are village names. The same word used in anatomical and geographical context.

either she didnt want her fashion sense associated with f*** * or she didnt want people to think her bass lines were squelshy and distorted. Re: Explicit Content
hmmm. I've always declared on the few tracks I have where a naughty word creeps in. Doesn't appear to have unduly affected anything. explicit & radio edit - is it easy to distribute different mix versions, say, the original & a version with the explicit words muted or flip reversed ?

totally bogus dude ! :) ------ Value of £500 from 1977 to 2025 " £500 in 1977 is equivalent in purchasing power to about £3,969.99 today, an increase of £3,469.99 over 48 years. The pound had an average inflation rate of 4.41% per year between 1977 and today, producing a cumulative price increase of ...

^ that is the killer.
I use wireless for listening to music, where latency is irrelevant but I would like to use them sat on an E-drum kit but no chance with my consumer pods, as the latency interferes with playing.

Re: Kurzweil V.A.S.T. but unloved
who knows - only Uli & his collegues. I think there is a spectrum of product_availabilites, from the wave to the BCR32. After several years, the Wave is in the shops & the BCR32 is no where to be seen [beta testing July '24 apparently]. As the VCS was seen on a shelf with the Wave, I think its more ...

Re: The cold reality of synthesizers
very narrow indeed :) A 1 knob per function viewpoint perhaps, which means that synths with 2000+ parameters are out of scope. One thing about synthesizers is that they belong to an era. A few years after they are released, they stop being made. They may re-appear as software recreations later on ...

Re: Powering up old gear
definitely worth while.
There might be a nicad battery in there that might go flat and leak or electrolytics which can develope lack of use problems.
It would certainly wake up the spiders and give them somthing to think about.

Re: A Realistic View of the Music Biz?
I had virtually the same conversation with a guy from London a few weeks ago. "It's all about content, content, content" he kept saying. But he never gave any clue what he meant - what 'content' was. I assumed he meant jiggy jiggy video. probably ! who are the majority target audience, and what ...

Re: Retrieving audio from cassette
Supermarkets, hairdressers, etc need to pay to play music to their customers and I imagine funerals are the same. So, you may need to provide the provenance trail for any non catalogue music.

Re: Trigger to capacitive keyboard
werid pricing ! dont forget SOS's synth secrets on drums, the blofeld can handle any/most of them. cool video. I note he has assigned the BD to C1, the GM standard. Following the General Midi PERCUSSION Key Map should not be under estimated as it means that in the future you might plug in a [TBD ...

Re: Trigger to capacitive keyboard
I might be better off getting the Blofeld to do what I want sonically - I more or less know how to program that! Yes, a blofeld multi is capable of using differnt sounds over different key ranges on the same MIDI channel. It also does velocity splits, so you could have different sounds ...

Re: Album - EP - Single
you might go the trouble of thoughtfully ordering the tracks on an album but a consumer may arrange them differently on their play list, or indeed, just add the one tune with instant ear candy. That was less likely to happen with CDs I think.

Re: World changing life changing milestone keyboard wanted, now
Nigel I’ve heard Synthesizer V and I wasn’t impressed, at all, mind you, that could have been bad use by the person that showed me. indeed, some of the demos are just raw synth, lacking any processing & not used in a production environment. The brain and hearing is evolved for vocal communication, i ...
