Re: Idiocy

That sounds right as an eco house is pressure tested for air-tightness.
Ventilation is achieved through a heat exchanger.

CbB has included features that the op would love such as TH3 guitar vst, amps cabs , fx , etc. Also drum vst, with kits and loops & matrix programming.

Re: AI Singing Technology

Synth V and the Solaria vocal pack are pretty impressive, this is significantly less artificial sounding than Vocaloid totally, I associated Vocaloid with manga singers, as previously posted by PP and was astonished [after the SOS review prompted ] by western pop music covers like .. Re: Finding a suitable laptop

There are ranking lists for DPC latency on the web, eg https://www.notebookcheck.net/DPC-Latency-Ranking-Which-laptops-and-Windows-tablets-offer-the-lowest-latency.504376.0.html I dont know if that's uptodate. Looks like DPC varies very much on a model basis as a series like "HP Pavillion"...

Re: Cakewalk Sonar, the circle is complete

:frown: I dont like subscriptions either.

I must switch to my back up disk [Nov version of cakewalk] and see how long / if it asks for a re-authorisation.

Re: Are you TONE DEAF or MUSICALLY GIFTED?

Another question that puzzles me relates to rhythm. Merlyn gave some stats on people with and without perfect/relative pitch, but I sometimes encounter people who seem completely incapable of beating time - it seems such a basic instinct to me, but clearly not universal. yeah, its what they get the...

Re: Hex pickup to tab conversion (with open tunings)?

Cakewalk { DAW } does "Export to ASCII TAB" which will produce a text file from MIDI input. MIDI can be 1 channel or channel per string, selected in "Regenerate Tablature". Not somthing I use, as piano roll is my thing. picked, then strummed... E ------|------|-----------3-|-----...

Re: Any synth that really sounds different

I sold my FS1r and bought a MODX. The MODX/Montage do a lot of what the FS1r can do but does it with a 7" touch screen, easy sequencing and more polyphony. Also included is an AWM2, sample playback, synth engine.

Re: Effectively Testing Out Ideas

The other thing to be aware of is that round-wound strings will eat your bow. The horse hairs will get trapped in the string and snap regularly. true for cymbals too, maybe all metal things that are slightly rough. For samping, the bow should last a good while as its only receiving intermittent use...

Yes the original NT1 of which I had two had the ‘painted’ body (there’s pictures here: http://recordinghacks.com/microphones/Rode/NT1) For the price it was a reasonable mic and that pair replaced my AKG3000s.
