I’m going from 1/4 inch tape to digital to prep for mastering.

I’ve got some glitchy tape in parts and I’m freaking out. I’m wondering if it can be mended in mastering or not?

Okay I did end up putting it through PT again but I bounced in 16bit instead of 24bit. Is this an issue or can I convert to 24 bit? I put it onto cd to archive.

Okay thanks. No it’s just because my finalizer was originally going to a cd recorder and my cd recorder is being wired
So had to put it back into pro tools to burn my master mixes

I thought it was maybe I was overlooking the tracks on the tc finalizer

So basically the issue is that when I play my master mix out of my normal speakers it sounds fine. But when I play it through crap speakers some of the sound doesn’t cut through. I.e. bass and drums
