Re: Need advice on my first bass guitar.
Wow, I didn't think I will get so much advice about short scales. Thank you all
I found another squier p bass in a reputable shop, so I am thinking of going there and trying it. I don't know any one who plays bass but they have professionals at the shop, so I hope they will help me.

Re: How to mount Wood Planks in a studio?
Thanks Hugh I might try to do the bass traps like you said. Not sure how much I will be able to raise the frames but I might as well try. After I will put mineral wool in them like you said and then cover them with the planks. I am just not sure if the wool has to be connected to the planks them ...

Re: How to mount Wood Planks in a studio?
Hey Hugh Currently it's just a blank room which is underground. In addition the place itself is located in forest, so sound isolation is not a big issue. Since the tiles were already in place before I got the room I decided to finish up the final wall before figuring out what acustic treatment I ...

Re: Building a Control/Live room, Where should I start?
I usually record bands, till this moment I just had a small room where I recorded separate band members one at a time which is what I usually do. I recorded with head phones on and without the monitors being on because of mic bleed in the same room. As for drums I always use a vst or record them ...

Building a Control/Live room, Where should I start?
I am not sure where to ask this question so I will pop it down here for now. I just received some amazing news and got a place for free which I could use as a music studio. The area is basically out in the woods and is underground. It is built out of thick walls so sound basically doesn't come ...

Re: How to Pan Violin Sections In a Pop Rock track?
Thank you guys for your replies, I managed to use a vsts and melodine to create some extra violin lines to make sure the chord is evenly balanced. No I can pan it any way I want essentially

Re: How to Pan Violin Sections In a Pop Rock track?
Then these are the ones I would pan widest.
Nothing wrong with adding some sampled instruments to help out, too.
Thanks for your advice, These are also two lowest notes of the chord. Will this not muddy up the mix if they are panned most out of all other notes?

Re: How to Pan Violin Sections In a Pop Rock track?
Again thanks for your response drew. As for the violins they are real, each take was recorded with an individual microphone. I feel like your approach helped a lot but I do feel like the violins lack definition so I might pan them a bit closer or try to play with their volume balance. I feel the ...

Re: How to Pan Violin Sections In a Pop Rock track?
Yeah guitars are basically both playing the same note only through a different amp so they kinda have to be Hard L and R. I am currently trying to spread them in the middle but they kinda sound disjointed. I don't know if this is because I am paining the notes to hard. Some one said to me on reddit ...

Edit: And yes forgot to mention that the guitars are hard panned left and right

How to Pan Violin Sections In a Pop Rock track?
So I have a Folk/Pop Rock track. In the track there is a section where a slightly distorted guitar is double tracked and hard panned LR. It is playing power chords together with a straight 8 kick drum beat. Together in this section there are 4 violins each separately recorded with a single mic ...
