Re: Korg TR rack
I'm sorry to have to post this but I'm not sure how to go about downloading the editor. I'm on a Mac and have a TR Rack. I would dearly love to have an editor but again, I'm not sure how to get it from the GitHub site and install. If anyone can provide me some instruction I'll gladly try this editor ...

Re: KORG M1 VST Help
My problem is that once I click the import-all data menu item I specifically said twice to use the Import -> All Program menu option for the modded file, not "Import -> All Data". Your file is a bank of Programs. It imports fine. The file you linked to was a .m1all file which opened the VST when I ...

Re: KORG M1 VST Help

Re: KORG M1 VST Help
My problem is that once I click the import-all data menu item I can't select the sysex file in question. It's grayed out and can't be clicked on. I have the M1 preload sysex in the same folder and I'm able to select that one. Also tried moving the sysex file to another location and selecting from ...

Ok, must be my software. Can I confirm that you're running 2.4.1?

Re: KORG M1 VST Help
Hmmm. Same result. I emailed the company I purchased from and they sent me instructions on how to load to the VST, which is the same as I've found online and in the KLC manual. Since I'm following the instructions, and the sysex file worked without a hitch in my hardware M1 I assume there's ...

Re: KORG M1 VST Help
Thanks everyone. It's got a .syx extension and worked just fine in my hardware. I've zipped the file and uploaded it to my drive. Looking forward to hearing more. Thanks again!

KORG M1 VST Help
I'm trying to import a sysex file to the M1 VST. This file is in sysex format and I used it on my M1 hardware previously, so I feel like it's formatted correctly. I know the procedure to import but when I click file-import-all data and navigate to the folder with the sysex it's grayed out so I ...

Re: Strange M1 Sound Problem
I can't recognise any connection between your weird noises and any of the default demo songs, and have never heard anything like it on my M1. Well done for recording the anomaly though - it could eventually gain a cult following! ;) Yeah I can’t find the connection either. I guess a cult following i ...

Re: Strange M1 Sound Problem
I’m not sure. One of the steps I took during earlier troubleshooting (because I had the same thought) was to go in and erase all the saved sequencer songs. I’m assuming those are the demo songs as I don’t think there are any others to be found. The problem remained after wiping those out.

Re: Strange M1 Sound Problem
Thanks! We did the initialization procedure which sets every patch to an init patch. The noise is still present on startup though not as elaborate. While the noise is in process there is a difference in sound if you move through non initialized patches so you may be on to something here. This ...

Strange M1 Sound Problem
I'm working on a KORG M1 that is "playing" a static sound on startup. It has something of a rhythm to it, like something is being cycled through. It is very loud! It fades out over a minute or so and then the keyboard plays normally without any further issues. Here is a video of the problem: https ...

Re: MIDI recording and export with iPad
I would go Cubasis. It makes transporting both MIDI and audio data much easier - and any editing/arranging work you do in Cubasis is preserved in Cubase, so no effort is wasted. I did some research last night and that seems like a really good route to take. It checks all the boxes and is on sale ...

MIDI recording and export with iPad
I need to record MIDI from electronic drums, away from my studio. I don't have a great portable computer at the moment and would like to use an iPad to capture the MIDI performance data from the drums and then export it for use in my studio computer. Can anyone recommend a DAW app that would work ...

Re: iPad to replace iPhone in live rig?
I've undertaken a couple of casual 'gigs' just using a USB keyboard and iPad. As long as the demands are not too high it can do a decent job. I use a couple of soft synths, FX, looper and AUM to pull it all together. How are you guys doing it? Mine is likely the simplest use case possible. I just ...

Re: iPad to replace iPhone in live rig?
Done a number of gigs with the ipad acting as a live looper/fx unit. 1st gen ipad pro. Works great. Although I’ve never done a full length show with it so can’t comment on battery drain. I had a concern about overhead lighting washing out the screen but I was able to angle the ipad to avoid that. I ...

I’m as Plain Jane as they come right now. One at a time and I use the Korg MonoPoly, Gadget, and GarageBand synths.
