Thanks. That's good to know for future reference.

Re: Does your AI respond to QWERTY Keyboard Multimedia/Volume keys in VST mode?
Ignore. Do you mean ignore the whole topic, or just the post above? :-) I accidentally replied to my own first post rather than edit it which is why I wrote ignore. :) I ordered the next model up in the Mackie range as I like the feature. Still curious if other AIs offer this feature so plea...

Does your AI respond to QWERTY Keyboard Multimedia/Volume keys in VST mode?
My Mackie Onyx Artist responds to the volume and mute keys on my QWERTY keyboard even from within a DAW using the VST driver. Typically, these multimedia keys only seem to work when using standard windows drivers in a media player and not in a DAW. I tried a Roland and Native Instruments AI and neit...

Re: independent music streaming site - any precedents?
Spotify loses money as does Tidal I think. Apple, Google and Amazon can afford to subsidise their streaming services. The pricing model means that music is perceived as being cheap and many people just use free services. I am not at all clear what you are trying to achieve but I think it will be dif...

Re: What is the best fan controller software for PC?
That's a laptop chip I believe.
So if you have a prebuilt system, it's possible that it won't be compatible with 3rd party tools.
That used to be my experience with Speedfan and laptops many years ago.

Re: M1 Max Internal SSD Speeds vs Ext SSD?
Latency is generally more important than bandwidth when it comes to reading a lot of small randomly read files.
But I would still expect the internal drive to be faster usually.
As for how this relates to your CPU usage figures, I don't know.

Re: Are you using that RAM, sonny?
CPU-Z will tell you a bunch of useful things: The CPU model. How much RAM is installed. The speed that the RAM is actually running at currently. The ratings for each individual RAM stick. The aim is to run the memory at the maximum speed that the CPU officially supports with the lowest latency setti...

Re: Korg 700s FS.
I don’t care what revision synths you have, but for a chopper it has to be a mk1. There isn’t enough brandy in the world to make me buy a mk2. :) Although in practice, I wouldn’t even give you a four pack of babycham to be able to use a mk1. My body is too fragile for such basic forms of transport....

Re: Korg 700s FS.
Very heavy and 3 speed gears wasn’t a great combination. But for chillin’ in da hood, much more fun than a racing bike. Great for a bit of dirt biking also. Racing bikes are for transport only in my eyes, when you need to go as fast as you can. Although I don’t like the riding position or the lack o...
