Re: Signing Tracks to a label?

I’ve always usually published myself and registered the PRS.. but as I say they haven’t sent me through the fine details yet so I’m speculating on what to look out for.. As they are becoming quite an established brand in the industry and have some good acts on their rosta I am tempted to sign with t...

Signing Tracks to a label?

Hi All, I received an email from an A&R of a pretty decent record label, they really like a few of my tracks and want to release them on their label (pending approval from the rest of their team). I've never signed any music to a label as I've always released independently, I'm not sure what to ...

Re: Opinions on vocal change - female to Male

Uncanny Valley. It certainly works in this context. On a technical note - something seems to be 'pulling' the rap vocal to the right. A mono effect in a stereo channel? Yes this has been annoying me, it’s on a mono input stereo output but the waves channel strip EQ seems to keep pulling it over eve...

Opinions on vocal change - female to Male

Hi guys, Sorry I’m bombarding with mixes right now :lolno: I’m experimenting a lot with :) vocals right now, I wanted this track to have a male poet vox.. inspired by faithless. I’ve recorded my vocal and changed the pitch and formant, I’ve EQ’d to try and get rid of any lingering harmonics from my ...

Re: New Mix for opinions please :-)

Thanks audio elders lol Good things to think about there, it’s a new format for me as I’m used to the usual song structure too but have been using a few reference tracks for the arrangement may still tinker though! Yes the delay panning good points, I was still planning on editing the beat a bit mor...

New Mix for opinions please :-)

Hi All, Kirsty again... Working on another track again :-) This is draft 7 and I'm not sure I'm achieving the necessary oomph at the drop but as you can see this is draft 7 so I'm looking for any opinions on the mix or arrangement. Have I gone a bit OTT with the NY Compression? There's a synth bass ...

Re: New mix for comment pleeease :-)

Yes! Swells on the strings :-) I've also Eq'd just those intro string to add the low end back in for a bit more lushness. Took your advice on the kick drum too. Also sorted a couple of sudden volume spikes on the throws, feeling like it's complete... https://soundcloud.com/user-410433233-548354857/w...
