Re: Flat Sound Signature IEMs under $30?

Re: Flat Sound Signature IEMs under $30?
Thank you all for your responses I did learn that IEMs for monitoring > mixing&mastering and it makes sense as IEMs are not intended for mixing and mastering. Im not a professional mixer just a hobbyist nor do I earn through any gig just playing at my church. It's tough for me to get both IEMs an...

Re: How to send aux out from my mixer to OBS using USB?
The Soundcraft has a slightly different way of communicating with the outside world than other digi-mixers but my exploration when we were shopping suggested it was not a completely different animal. Most mixers allow you to remap the various physical inputs to virtual outputs, that's the first pla...

Re: How to send aux out from my mixer to OBS using USB?
I am guessing here, because I don't have direct experience of the Soundcraft, but I suspect the Aux out you want to use is mapped to a physical output in that list? Can you explain a bit more what to is you are trying to achieve? basically we want to connect the usb port(USB i/f as mentioned in the...

Re: How to send aux out from my mixer to OBS using USB?
The forum doesn't have any picture hosting capability, so you'll need to host the picture elsewhere (e.g. Imgur) and use the linking facility from the toolbar. make sure the link has either .jpg or .png at the end of the link, otherwise you'll be linking to the page the picture is on and it won't d...

Re: How can I improve our Churchs sound?
There is one more reasonably valid argument for having DI boxes for your Bass and Acoustic guitars which is user error. If the bass player / guitar player walk to the end of the cable and it's plugged directly into the mixer then could damage the the input socket. This can be avoided by having them...

Re: How can I improve our Churchs sound?
Yep, I'd put the bass in CH1, the acoustic in CH2 (both set to HiZ), the keyboard in 3&4, and then the mics in the subsequent channels. Go through one channel at a time. Start with all the levels down at minimum on the mixer. With the bass in particular you might want to start with that at abou...

Re: How can I improve our Churchs sound?
Separate point - do you have anything to gain by having keys in stereo? There are often good reasons to do so if you're making use of the facility but "just because I can" isn't always the best justification. I'd keep the keys in stereo. Don't assume that by only plugging one side in the ...
