Re: Subwoofer recommendations (sealed box) for small space ?!
Thanks Hugh Robjohns for your response, which makes perfect sense! On that basis I think I will only consider the MA1 mic should I proceed with the KH750 later down the line, as I can see the usefulness in that case only. I am happy with the KH80’s and now concur that the MA1 addition, will not i ...

I would never even have considered them if it wasn’t for you James having planted the seed! Thank you once again and you were spot on! I am already seeing the value in having purchased them:-)!!

Re: Subwoofer recommendations (sealed box) for small space ?!
My personal choice would be to look for better main monitors rather than a sub. You will then find that you have less need of a sub because the whole presentation will be better balanced and, with good monitors, you'll be able to see into the mix far better than you can with your current speakers ...

Re: Subwoofer recommendations (sealed box) for small space ?!
I've been perfectly happy with them straight out of the box. I did experiment with the small desk/free standing options but not being an ipad user I've never even used the app. If I was to buy the sub I'd definitely go all in and buy the MA1 as well, but I have no intention of doing so without it ...

Re: Subwoofer recommendations (sealed box) for small space ?!
Originally when I had planned on buying the KH750 subwoofer, I fully intended to purchase the MA 1 mic in order to set it up, as I thought this would have been advantageous given the shortcomings of my small space. However, as plans have changed and I am instead intending to purchase the KH80’s. I w ...

Re: Subwoofer recommendations (sealed box) for small space ?!
Yes, sorry HD650’s are excellent headphones, I was trying to point out how much of an improvement you could get by adding sonar works based on my experience. And I meant the headphone version only, rather than the monitor version with mic. Surprisingly affordable and great value considering the p ...

Re: Subwoofer recommendations (sealed box) for small space ?!
I'd say Sennheiser HD650's count as decent headphones. ;) Too right!! I’d like to think they fit into the “decent” headphone category too, especially at that price😄!! But as I have said I couldn’t be happier with them and I have been using them for a good while and have come to know and trust them👍🏾

Re: Subwoofer recommendations (sealed box) for small space ?!
I also use sonarworks with my headphones (DT990s), for me the big advantage of sonarworks here is that it makes the overall tonality of the headphones much closer to the KH80s - so I've never tempted to tweak EQ settings at the top end where the 880s are pretty far from flat. Thanks blinddrew. I ...

Re: Subwoofer recommendations (sealed box) for small space ?!
If it was me, I would add 2 things: Decent headphones and Sonarworks... Thanks jaminem for your response and recommendation, which I do appreciate. Although, I am very satisfied with my HD650’s and so see no need to update them for now!! I have heard some encouraging things about Sonarworks too, ...

Re: Subwoofer recommendations (sealed box) for small space ?!
Thanks again blinddrew. That’s encouraging to hear! I did read about the auto standby issue in a few reviews and others turnt it over too, which seems to be an easy enough workaround if the sound quality stacks up!!

Re: Subwoofer recommendations (sealed box) for small space ?!

Re: Subwoofer recommendations (sealed box) for small space ?!
Really funny you should mention that James, as I have more recently started using the IK ilouds micros and I have been fiddling with the settings on the back panel only today, as I was finding them a little dull:-), well in comparison to NS10’s, so you are spot on there! I had also considered the H ...

Re: Subwoofer recommendations (sealed box) for small space ?!
Thank you for your responses. James: I do already have some acoustic treatment in my space but I take your point. Although, I am hoping the Neumann Kh750 DSP and control app will make placement easier using the guided alignment option within the Neumann app. Neumann have advised that I can indeed ...

Re: Subwoofer recommendations (sealed box) for small space ?!
Thanks so much for your response forumuser918214. I was aware of the SVS brand, but I also require the sub to also use balanced I/O which unfortunately the SVS subs do not appear to have. I really do appreciate the recommendation so thank you for sharing your opinion.

Subwoofer recommendations (sealed box) for small space ?!
Hi There, I am in the market for a sub woofer to represent the low end in my small home studio and to compliment my NS10’s to make for a decent 2.1 nearfield full range system. Based on my research so far the sealed box subs are much harder and more expensive of say ported subs to find, but I am d ...
