Re: Pickup replacements- pointless or necessary?
So for the sound you want, you probably didn’t start at quite the right place. :D :D  This is true! But given it’s not a hugely expensive buy I think it was in my head as a possible “project” and build on a decent shell. But by the same token I don’t want to put hugely expensive extras for ...

Re: Pickup replacements- pointless or necessary?
Thanks all of you for that helpful advice. I think I get this idea of recipes and thence subtle differences. And Drew is right to point me indirection of adjustment. I’ve added a Squier 60s custom Tele to my guitars and I’ve decided I really like the feel, it’s the guitar I pick up first to noodle w...

Pickup replacements- pointless or necessary?
Hi, As some might recall from my previous posts, I’m a keyboard player by training but have recently been upping my guitar playing. Drew (thank you sir!) set up my two guitars and that helped no end to make playing them a far more enjoyable experience. But I’ve now changed a few things got a couple ...

Re: Modular Frustrations
get a synth with comprehensive routing/modulation and memories Yes, that was my decision, so rather than disappearing down the modular warren, I went Moog One. Not perfect but does have “ that sound” and is very flexible ….with memories! I need to recall sounds quickly and change them, a modular wo...

Re: new mac studio
On my studio with same internal SSD, I am fine with it. Logic library and all my samples are on fast external SSDs and currently my internal drive has 387GB still free.

Re: Upgraded from Monterey to Ventura……..
Me too. If Muzines is ok about it them I’m gonna jump from Ventura. Would be the shortest time on an OSX I’ve ever done! Will wait till end of October just to see if all is still rosy in the garden.

Re: Live video. Pretty big gig for us!
Crikey, good stuff. I did one big gig (as opposed to the others in WMC, pubs etc) nerve wracking. Less the playing although I did have a synth solo to open up with that I wince thinking back to, but the technical side. I heard very little we had basic on stage monitoring which was hopeless. I kept r...

Re: AKG K712 Pro to DT900 Pro X?
These days I'm choosing headphones on what doesn't hurt my ears. That’s where I’ve got to. I use KRK 8402/8400 to track and do most early mixing. They’re supremely comfortable on my head. Then Sen 650 to fine tune. I did use sonarworks for a while but felt that I’d rather get to know my headphones ...

Re: Upgraded from Monterey to Ventura……..
It does take some time, but it's worth doing imo, and is exactly what I did moving from my old Intel Mac to Apple silicon.
^this ++
It was a pain but agree it makes workflow far easier going forward.

Re: AKG K712 Pro to DT900 Pro X?
I think the sound from the 712pros are ok, but I just find them difficult to wear. They drop down and sit too low on my ears which then ends up hurting. I’ve tried a few things to get the headband tighter but it just seems to do larger heads than mine!
As a consequence I rarely use them now.
