Re: RAM recommendation
I hope Corsair is as accommodating as HP in your case! (My experience with the HP support differs slightly from yours...) I am now running Memtest86 in all RAM stick and slot configurations, as that is the program Corsair recommends for testing. So this will still take a few days... I'll ke...

Re: RAM recommendation
Thanks for your input! I will try contacting the Corsair support but I'm afraid that even if they will replace it, they will want me to send in the whole set of RAM first. And my experience with such big companies tells me that it will take at least one or two weeks until I get my replacement, which...

RAM recommendation
After getting some blue screens on my DAW I ran Memtest and discovered a faulty RAM. Although just one of the three RAM sticks is bad I decided to get a completely new set. The problem is there are so many options out there and I really don't know what to get, so any recommendation is appreciated! H...

Re: Fatar SL-1100 problem
Thanks for your tips and help, John F! Actually I already do have a question before I even start: Are the parts inside the keyboard attached to the top or bottom enclosure? So after I removed the screws at the bottom cover do I turn it around again before I lift the cover or does it stay upside down...

Re: Fatar SL-1100 problem
Thank you very much for the replies!! First of all, I did pretty much everything to rule out any external errors. I tested it with different VST instruments, external sound modules and also transposed up and down - same problem on the same key. @DGL: Thanks for your detailed explanation! I once clea...

Fatar SL-1100 problem
I have a problem with my Fatar Studiologic SL-1100: The f#' key is much louder than all the others; so for example if I play a scale containing this note all notes have the same volume and velocity, except the f#', which produces a higher velocity and sounds louder (and no, I don't hit it harder :D)...

Auralex or T.Akustik Absorbers
After experimenting with monitor placement, I am planning to get some absorbers for my home studio. My aim is to treat early reflections at the mirror points and get rid of a slight flutter echo due to parallel walls. I found these two products that seem appropriate and also have the right dimension...
