Re: SynthFest UK is back!

Will there be mugs on sale this year? So far, I've always missed out - either by being too late and they've sold out, or forgetting till after everyone has started packing up :(

Re: SM7B suddenly sounding really tinny - only on recording ?!

If a different piece of software gives good results on the same hardware I can't think of any mechanism where the mic can be at fault. Apart from acoustics, the only thing that can affect its performance will be the hardware input circuitry.

Re: Questions for synthesists with ribbon controllers

Now you've got it working. Have you had another try at using it with Yoshimi?
If so, and if you get sensible results, hows about bringing one along to Synthfest?

Re: Rendering Milliseconds

In a word - buffering.
In more words. Depending on the source, the hardware (and the price of buttons) there is nearly always some form of buffering along the way, and the size of the buffer gives the frame size.

Bah! Ninja'd

Re: Who Falls

Well that saves me a problem.
I did a major upgrade a couple of days ago, and now can't play music in any browser. Stored wav, flac etc. no problems at all :headbang:

Re: Do the five shapes of piano key have unique names?

I suspect there are lots of answers... each builder uses their own names for the keys.

Re: One Synth Challenge #7- 2022 Edition

Very pleased to see this, but it gives me a bit of a dilemma. I'll only have two days to listen to the entries before I go off-grid and pootle up to Derbyshire

Dunno, but I'd refer to them as:

Left White
Centre White
Right White

Re: Questions for synthesists with ribbon controllers

This is true... My reels are not green :smirk:

P.S. The only reason I have two is that I couldn't find one and thought I must have left it somewhere. Of course as soon as I bought another the first one magically reappeared!
