Re: LFO shortage

Hydrasynth [1] .... can you use it without the keyboard controlling it? Ive seen youtubes of the Hydrasynth doing regenerative music . Ive not tried it myself. [2] it hasn’t got patch points, its got a mod matrix, which is as easy as poking the front panel and saying "That one goes to this one". ...

Re: Fripp solo

You all know that I am a big Fripp aficionado, one of my major influences, a great man, but? This was a surprise, too many notes, sounded like any "rock guitar" solo, by anyone with a bit of technique........ stick to their guns, what's next? I liked it :) and took it to be a homage to Slash's ...

Re: How to activate reverb on Zoom R16

 Zooms "R" units are studios_in_a_box, rather than just multi trackers, with many functions, only 1 of which can be front panel easy access [=recording/tracking, still outperforms many of the newer multitrackers, some of which dont even have track swap :? ]. Re: How to activate reverb on Zoom R16

there are utube tutorials on the R16. eg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhAyniG_nlI&t=331s I only have the R8 but I think the 16 and 24 are similar; do fact check what I say though :) [1] the fx only work when using 44.1kHz [2] there are two reverbs; one is a global send/return FX for all tracks ...

Re: The PS3300 has landed!

Ive just watched some utubes like Alex Ball's, which makes sense of it all.

The note tuning must have been an outlandish thing in analogue times - the Korg Prophecy was v.popular in the middle east in its day, as it had a selection of tunings.

Re: AI generated album art

Yes, I agree about the greater difficulty in diagnosing the rhythm guitar as AI because this is indeed easier to play with consistency. As for declining suspect AI submissions on your FB group in future, I think that's a brave decision, as it will almost inevitably result in at least a few angry ...

Yeah, cheap, school recorders. Random LFO, 0Hz but retriggered on a new note Umm. I get the retriggering on each note, and assume the randomness refers to the depth of the LFO(?), but I don't understand how an oscillator can be at 0Hz? the LFO would generates a different dc value every time a new ...
