Another Day Calling - mix rescue

Post by TBTS »

so finally our mix rescue feature is out :)

Mixing has never been my strong point, so to have mike dissect and reassemble one of our tracks was a great process, and i've learnt a lot.

thought i would ask for feedback on what people think about the song, the differences in the mixes, and mikes original mix.

Vocal seemed kinda buried to me. Build at the end was a nice idea but it came across here (on these Genelecs) as a muddy mess from 2:50 onwards.

Just my two penny'th worth.

(Strange bass line that - my brain was expecting an A (at 18 secs) but instead it got a D. I think an A would be much better.)
