Studio speakers (M-AudioI Studionphile BX8A Deluxe vs. Yamaha HS80M)

Post by TobiFur »

Hello!
I'm choosing between:
"M-AUDIO STUDIOPHILE BX8A DELUXE" and "YAMAHA HS80M"
A friend mentioned to me, that Yamaha has a bit too much middle range.
Can anybody please leave a comment on that, general comparison between the two models and any personal experiences.
Thanks,T

I was thinking of the Yamaha's, but I heard they were abit bassy and no so much of the 'NS10' replacements they were made out to be. SOS did a review on them I think.

Yes, I have read the review.
Unfortunately there is no review for BX8A's...

Monitors are very personal. YoSomeone has an opinion about the Yams - not unusual. Everyone has an opinion these days. It's a good thing.

The pros here will tell you - it's 'knowing' your monitors that's important. Sometimes you have to compensate for the environment etc... When it comes to nearfields in that price range - Im a KRK fan. I love my RP8s.
