Autotune problem with exporting

Post by Nequez »

Hi guys, i got some problem i couldnt find solution in web. I'm begginer and Im mixing my friend's song. Wanted to add deep vocal effect with autotune pro, I set transpose to -4 and some other options like A minor key. When i export song (mp3 192, 320, wav, it doesnt matter) auto tune is set like default (C chromatic, no transpose, etc).

Effects in order I use: EQ>Limiter>Compressors>deesser>Autotune>chorus

Im using adobe audition cc 2019

You might need to pre-render the track.

Are you exporting a mix/render of the song or the DAW project with individual files? I'm not familiar with Autotune Pro (I have an old ATR-1 and Reapers built in ReaTune plugin) but pretty sure it only works on monophonic sources*. I don't know if that is connected to your issue.

* I believe Melodyne is the only current polyphonic pitch correction tool available but I'm not up to date with the latest stuff.

edit :- does autotune Pro work on finished tracks?

Sorry, but im a punk in mixing (doing it for three weeks) and don't know what u mean by DAW project with indivdual files, We recorded the vocal, i added effects and exported the entire session. Vocal is monophonic. Also i don't know what u mean by finished tracks :?

I'm not familiar with Audition but assuming it works like most DAWs, you will have the vocal on a separate track. One way is to duplicate that track, apply the AT to it and render/print the audio, possibly to another track. This will before you render the final mix to .wav, .mp3 or WHY.

Audition may use slightly different words to Reaper (which I use) so that could be a cause of some of the mutual confusion.
