Yoshimi website drafts

Post by Folderol »

These are links to a pair of draft websites for Yoshimi, and I'd very much like to hear from as many people as possible. You will need to unzip them, and then click on 'index.html' for each. There are youtube and soundcloud links in some pages, but no others.

Site 1

Site 2

Seemingly no longer an 'elderly'.
Now a 'Senior'. Is that promotion?

I much prefer website 2. Website 1 to me looks a bit old-fashioned. Website 2 is significantly nicer to my eyes and has a more contemporary look.

Yep, another vote for number 2. Cleaner, clearer and more modern.

A bit of information for you.
I put out a request on the Yoshimi users list for alternatives to the very primitive existing site and these two were the only ones. They are both from people who are experienced developers and have been extremely helpful to me personally, as well as to Yoshimi itself.

This put me in a very difficult position, so I decided that the best answer was to take myself right out of the decision, and hand it to people who were totally independent - I can't think of a better group.

Asking here is perfectly sensible. It's input being requested by an established developer of a Linux-only softsynth (and a jolly good one at that). It's not as if Folderol is asking for an opinion on his family wordpress blog or anything ;)

Wow - this is the first time I've got to hear Yoshimi in the virtual flesh, and mighty impressive it is too :o

The website also looks most professional.

I'm looking forward to listening to more demos in due course Folderol

Thanks a lot guys.
I have to admit to being insanely proud of Yoshimi :bouncy:
Oh, and all the people who have done the really hard work.
To say nothing of quietly cleaning up after me
