I took my Juno-60 out of storage today for the first time in probably 6 or 7 years. It worked fine before I put it away. Now it has a crunchy distortion on some of the notes. Three notes sound good followed by three crappy ones. It doesn't happen per key... when I turn on Arpeggio it does the same: 3 good, 3 bad. Anyone know what this could be?

The Juno contains six sets of electronics controlled from a single set of controls. Three of the six sets are not working properly. It could be as simple as a bad connection but it could also be a power problem to those voices. Switching something on after 7 years can always be a bit fraught - unused contacts will be dirty and capacitors may have dried out.
I'd work backwards and first check the VCA and envelope section, then the filter. Does changing these settings change the sound in unexpected ways? There is a service manual available online but opening up the case will expose dangerous voltages which are close to where you want to go probing around so only open it up if you know what you are doing.

Thanks. The bad sounds are effected by the VCA, envelope and filters as expected. I've downloaded the service manual but not knowledgable enough to try and tinker with it. I've looked inside to see if maybe the batter leaked onto the chips but I don't see anything unusual.

That's a 106, which is quite different. The OP has a 60, which doesn't use those voice boards.

Well. You're completely right, of course. (D'oh.)
Although I was interested to see that they use the same circuit in a different format. The VCA does sound like a likely suspect. If you're in the UK I'd probably be thinking about getting someone like Adrian at Synth Restore to check it out if you don't want to tackle it yourself...
