Euclidean rythm with arpeggiators and chords generator

Post by raffaele1994 »

HI :)

How do I use Euclidean rhythms with arpeggiators and chord generators as written in the article drum mechanics by Len sasso?

In this context, the Euclidean pattern will dictate the syncopation of notes, not their pitches. You need an arpeggiator and Euclidean pattern generator. The Euclidean pattern generator will be used as the gate for the notes, the arpeggiator will determine the pitch. You will need to apply a clock pulse to the arpeggiator as well.

As you didn’t explain How you’re doing this, in hardware or software, it’s hard to get specific.

You can also use Euclidean patterns to add randomness or variations to a steady melody.

Hope this helps!
