Hi all, recently had a play on a friends TC Helicon VSM300 personal monitor and would love one but sadly they don't make 'em anymore.

So, I'm after an alternative but like the TC it needs to be *very* compact (there's only so much space in our band vehicle) and needs to be loud and clear. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Personal monitor suggestions please.

A few options off the top of my head...
There's a new TC thing, TC Helicon VoiceSolo FX150, that's a similar format but includes effects, both for monitoring and to 'pass through' to front-of-house, though it looks a bit bigger than the one you mentioned (wider anyway, if perhaps a little shorter).
Then there's the Mackie SRM150, which is another stand-mounted mini monitor thing (I forget what it looks like in the flesh though, it may be a bit too big for your needs), and finally Galaxy Audio do a few boxes in a similar format:

Some of those are very dinky indeed!
Cheers,
Chris

I've used the Mackie SRM150 for years and they are great. One band I play in has the Behringer equivalents and they are fine, but the Mackies do sound a little bit better. I dep in a band where the guitarist uses the TC one (VoiceSolo) as Chris (also) mentioned and that's good as well.
So, everything's basically good ..
I will, however, put the cat among the pigeons and suggest moving to a wired in-ear solution. I now have an aux from the desk going to a headphone amp and then to me and it's the best sound that I have had in gigs. Plus, with good earbuds, you can keep the volume levels under control and that's _really_ good for your hearing.
Just my 2c....

I have one. It is a little plastic box and, on its own, it's horrible but on stage it cuts through the mix and works surprisingly well.

TC VoiceSolo fx150 here (I have two). Great little box, sounds superb and the fx are lovely. I would happily use it as an acoustic guitar combo too if I didn't already have an AER. It's nearly as good and ¼ of the price.
