*sigh* there's got to be an easier, quicker way than this hasn't there? Anyone know what the transfer rate on Blu Ray discs is like?

Large Sample Libary Minor Whinge
Currently on Disc 3 of Superior Drummer 2's 5 DVDs, after spending most of yesterday installing Komplete 5's TWELVE DVDs worth of stuff. This is really putting me off asking for any VSL stuff that I quite fancy

Doesn't help first time, but when upgrading computer, I just transfer my big sound libraries with a simple hard disk copy. Much easier than feeding in DVDs etc.
In this situation, only the plugin itself gets installed / authorized using the orig media.

It's interesting you say that, as it made me think this might not actually be possible to do with Komplete - Komplete installs the software whilst installing the libraries in one process - unless Komplete detects if the audio is already there and doesn't bother copying it. Still, you'd have to switch DVDs all the time during installation.

Re: Large Sample Libary Minor Whinge
I've just installed Komplete too and initially put my libraries on the wrong partition in error during the set-up. I noticed having installed 2 of the libraries and cancelled the install (having noticed my c drive only having a couple of mbs left on it!). All of the plugs had installed at this point but not the libraries. I manually copied the files that had been installed to the correct partition and then manually copied the files in folders from the DVDs. Finally, I had to point the plugs to the moved files but these were straightforward config changes.
I do agree about the size of these libraries. Each time I load a new instrument now I have to consider a hard drive upgrade - I'm now having to consider replacing my laptop's 320Gb drive with a 500Gb drive and then contend with the potential joys of re-registration.

Done it with Komplete 4 a couple of times. At least in my (Mac) version, the installation of the huge libraries is a separate process, which I skip.
You need to be careful with paths etc.
