Avid HEAT installation

Post by Moses »

Hi!

So, Im trying to install HEAT onto my Pro Tools rig... It's installed, and I have the trial licence on my ilok. When I load up Pro Tools, it registers HEAT during the splash screen, but it doesn't appear in the 'options' menu, or anywhere else I can see...

I've trashed my preferences, turned the computer off and on and tried re-installing too... Im running on OSX.6, and Pro Tools HD8.0.3... Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mo

Um... I could be wrong, but doesn't Heat require PT HD 8.5? I seem to remember (before PT9 was released) there was a kind of 'intermediate' update, free to v8 owners, that was required to use Heat... Or perhaps that was just so you could use the HD Omni?

Not 100% sure obviously, but that might be worth checking.

Cheers!

Aha!

You need v8.1, which is free if you have a v8 licence.

Hey guys,

Thanks! For some reason I was reading it as 8.0.1... Back to primary for me, hey? :headbang:

funny enough, I think it probably got past me because I'd run the PT updater software earlier today, and it told me I was up to date... Grrrr!

Thanks!
