I just activated the Harrison EQ demo for my UAD card...

For everything after the recording stage: hardware/software and how you use it.

I wish I had the recipe for the Harrison EQ, then I could make it myself.

I have shyed from UAD an Powercore but the new software being developed for UAD still has to be commended, it makes it very, very hard to resist some of the goodies they are producing for it. And let's face it having the best software available is always a great thing to own whatever your production aims.

It does seem to be one of those rare EQs that just somehow makes anything you put through it sound better. Certainly a favourite of mine.

I remember the late Roger Nichols rave review of the original Yamaha 02R. He said the EQ reminded him of that of a Harrison desk.

The only excuse we have for making music in the first place is to make it differently..vis-a-vis our own difference (Glenn Gould)

I use an O2R desk when I freelance occasionally, I actually quite like them, I like the O2R96 a little better. But fact that a 11 year old one is still working is testamenet that they were built pretty reliably.

Just keep the signals around -12 on the input or so and they are ok.

It's gorgeous and bought it the day it was released. Big fat bottom end and nice breathy top ends is what it's all about.
