how to connect two audio interfaces to each other

Hi.
Does anyone know how to connect two interfaces?
I have Focusrite Saffire 56 and Roland FA66, both have firewire 400 port and digital i/os.

In what way? Just co-existing or sending audio out of one and in to the other? That sounds to me (and I'm not fully awake yet) as useful as getting both legs down one side of your trousers.

You can connect them to each other via the analogue connections or by the optical digital ones.

If you want use both together you will need to set up an aggregate device on Mac and then clock them together.

No idea about PC, but this article covers matters, which I presume are still relevant.

Best solution: Sell both and get an interface with more i/o's.

Trying to cobble together boxes is problematic at best.
You can really only count on doing it if its the same maker and they are made to run under one driver instance.
