Simultaneously that is.
I need an interface that can record all 8 line ins at once.
Any advice appreciated.
Behringer ada8000 and MOTU 828 mk1 and 2 - How many tracks can it record?

Hi,
I have a Motu 828mk2 plus the Behringer ada 8000.
On the Motu you can record all the inputs that are on it at the same time, meaning the 8 line inputs on the back plus the 2 mic/line inputs on the front.
If you then connect the Behringer to the optical input of the Motu you get an extra 8 inputs (mic/line) wich you can record simultaneously with all the other inputs that are already being used.

Actually you forgot the two s/pdif channels too, giving you a combined total of 20.
Plus the 16 simultaneous midi channels.
And you can hook four of those combined units up on one firewire chain running under one instance of the asio driver giving you 80 simultaneous i/os.....

Hi Tim,
Actually I didn't forget them, just didn't mention them because he asked about the Motu and the Behringer.
But you are totally right of course, most important is that it seems that Kolakube doesn't have to worry about having enough inputs.
