Canon i865 CD-Printer replacement

Hi all,

Was quite happy with this model but after print quality issues it came up wih an 'operator error' the other day, blinked its reset light 5 times orange and now won't switch on at all.

I think it's something to do with the printhead but I can't get it to budge.

Any recommendations for a good replacement these days if I can't fix it?

There are not as many, that can print to CD's, as there used to be.
Here are two, I can recommend:
The Brother DCP-J925DW
and the Canon Canon Pixma ip7250, but maybe go for one with a build in scanner like the MG7150.

I just buy the cheapest Canon that offers CD printing and admit it might last two years. My current iP4850 SEEMS ok at present...

I expect you found this already. But if not, give it a go...

I use a canon MG5250 which is great for on CD printing.

It's also wifi connectible meaning any printer can print from it just by being connected to the same wifi signal.

Fairly happy to stick with Canon - I have a good Epson scanner so will stick with that and get just a printer.

ip7250 might be the ticket. I guess they're all much of a muchness in terms of expensive cartridges and ink consumption etc.
